David Bryan on Axl Rose and Mariah Carey

Here's an article where David talks about Axl being late for his gig in London recently:

LIFE STYLE EXTRA (UK) - Bon Jovi keyboard player David Bryan has slammed Axl Rose for letting his fans down... agaain!

The curly-haired musician revealed he was sickened when the Guns N' Roses frontman kept his audience waiting for almost two hours last week - leaving fans unable to get home.

He told BANG Showbiz: "To be honest I think it's the same behaviour that was there zillions of years ago. I just don't get it.

"We will never ever do that to our fans. It's an honour and a big gift to get to where we are. If any curfew is going to be broken it's because we're playing longer."

The New Jersey rocker went on to reveal he thinks singers who make lavish demands, such as Mariah Carey, are arrogant.

When asked about Bon Jovi's backstage rider, he said: "There is none of that 'only the blue M&M's' kinda stuff. I think rock 'n' roll has been given a bad name by a few bands."

I remember David bashing Axl before cause their birthdays are on the 6th respectively 7th of February and they were born the same year so some guy asked Dave if the 2 of them (Axl and him) had something else in common and Dave just said something like: "Axl what? Haven't heard that name in a while!" - was around 2000 I don't remember in what magazine.

I was at that GnR gig ... it was damn annoying to have to wait an hour and a half after the support finished, and yeah, getting home was a bitch

aerosmith_bonjovi 06-17-2006 12:34 PM

Did he apologise?

Yeah right. They surely didn't remember that on Hull. That show was so unprofesional.

Go find me a report where David was the one who wasn't into it at Hull. I'll be waiting right here.

Haha..thought he might have mellowed somewhat over the years..well I hope he turns up on time at the Glasgow gig :)

I agree with everything David says there, and yea, it's always flattering when he or any musicial say that about their fans.

That's why I don't I'll ever "risk" going to see G'n'R. Although I love the original G'n'R, Axel Rose is the biggest twat going.

In all fairness, and having NOT been at the Hull show, there is no way Hull was worse than a GnR show. Axl Rose is just ridiculous and his voice is awful now.

I would like to point out that unlike some people *cough*Jon*cough*, David managed to say what he wanted to say about Axl without coming off as bitter .
