Picture Forum Help

How to post your signature picture

You must have webspace (NOT GeoCities or one of these free website hosts that don't allow remote linking. Your pictures won't show up).

You must upload the signature picture you want to use into your webpace, and then remember the URL to your picture.

Go into your Profile. In the section "signature", post your url like this, but change the ()'s to [ ] s.

(img)http://www.yourwebpsace.com/yoursignature.jpg(/img)

and it should work! If it doesn't, doublecheck that your URL is right, and that the photo is in your webspace.

How To Change Your Avatar

To change your avatar, you go into your "profile" at the top of the page.
Make sure you have the avatar you want to use saved on your computer somewhere. Near the bottom of your profile, it asks you to browse on your computer to find the image file you want to use as your avatar. It must be no larger than 10kbs and an image size of 80 x 80 pixels. You can use programs like Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro to resize images.

Good luck!

Picture Posting Tips

Thought I'd give some advice for those who are just new to posting photos.

Angelfire and Geocities webspace doesn't usually allow remote linking (storing stuff on their space and then linking it somewhere else). I recommend searching other options for free webspace. Sometimes your local internet provider will allot you space with your account. Check into that.

Remember to use post the photos like this:
(change the ()'s to []'s)

(img)http://www.theurlwhereyourpictureis.com/picturename.jpg(/img)

Hope this helps some people. Any questions, just ask.

I think you should say what you *are* doing so that someone else can let you know what you are doing wrong...

aparantly you cant, i guess you're only allowed one image, but you could join two pictures in one single image...

I tried to post a pic from photobucket on the 1,2,3 testing forum, but it was too big! Anyone know how to make it smaller?

Just resize it in Photoshop or whichever programme you use then upload it again to Photobucket.

Jonny Sambora 07-08-2006 02:23 PM

Thanks for in the info. Which is the best photo editing software? Are there any free ones which can be downloaded?

UKjovi 07-08-2006 07:20 PM

I resize mine using Photobucket. i just resize it and it seems to work , so you could try that .

gazthomas 07-09-2006 01:01 AM

or you could just **** it of like i did

Mr Bluesman 07-09-2006 01:22 PM

Oh yeah, didn't realise you could edit images in Photobucket. If you want to do it that way just click the edit button above your image then Resize Image. In terms of editing software, I'm not sure there is any decent freebies on the web unless you start getting all illegal with file sharing, but obviously I don't encourage such things :)
Photoshop is pretty much the dogs nuts, but takes a little bit of time getting used to. You might have some basic Microsoft Picture Manager if you've got Office installed on your PC.

I was trying to use all of your HOST IMAGE links on this forum but still not working and i don't know why, maybe the problem is my Laptop or the Forum site(no offense) cause my friends wanted to post some screenshots came from the playerunknown's battlegrounds and raid shadow legends :D:confused:

Does anyone can give some tip or anything.

Roxyyy03 07-14-2020 07:39 PM

those photo above are great, how I wish I could have one photo with him too and can go to his concert. As soon this pandemic ends I will do that and after my car undergo ceramic protection :)
