Just listened to it. I really like it. The lyrics resonate.

Do what you can is what I've liked most from what I've heard of the album so far. Great groove, great lyrics and I imagine it's one I'll listen to often. Sucks about maintaining 10 tracks, Jon's been mentioning albums having 10 tracks all the way back to HAND. But it always happens that songs get added. Should just keep the tracklist being 12, bonus tracks don't mean much anymore if at all....

The vibe is almost like....Who Says...if the drums were double time. It's hokey as hell and full of optimism but I'm just so glad it's uptempo and not the morose way I pictured it. Not sure how I feel about the need a hug/a stranger is a friend you haven't met yet part lyrically. Musically the whole thing is a frigging earworm.

Very Hugh-like bassline but that's just my opinion ;)

I initially thought his voice was too electronic during the chorus but it's just that he's backing himself up.

On iTunes in the USA, I'm still seeing both the old version of the album, which I pre-ordered before they changed the release date and DWYC and American Reckoning existed, and says it is expected on Dec 31; and the new version of the album, with the modified tracklist and new songs which says it is expected in October. Strange. I hope I don't have to wait two extra months for the album because I pre-ordered it before they changed the tracklist and release date.

On the other hand, I actually quite like DWYC. Kinda reminds me of a combination of I Got the Girl, What Do You Got?, and Because We Can, but I prefer it over all three of those songs.

I'm sticking by it, basing it on the fact the bass and drums on that track are both horrendous and horrendously simple. Something that would be produced by someone learning to program or using sibelius for the first time. They categorically were not written or even played by a bassist or a drummer.
