What do you want from The Circle?

Simply, what should the album include to make you happy? If you really want to say vague things like "good songs", "guitar solos", "good musicianship" or "good lyrics" then go for it, but maybe some could try to be a little more specific too? Also if you want to say something farfetched like "an album of full on hard rock bordering on metal" then feel free, but I'll try to be somewhat realistic based on what we've heard so far.

My checklist:

- At least 3 proper rock songs. We were promised a "riff rock" album, so 3 songs in that vein shouldn't be too much to ask.

- At least 2 songs over 5 minutes. This has really annoyed me about the last few albums: we haven't had a song over 5 minutes since 2002, and haven't had a single over 5 minutes since 2000! Time to get over your fear of length boys!

- A really good ballad. Neither Bounce nor HAND really had one IMO, but with Make A Memory they created something I found really interesting and different, so more of that please!

- A good opening song, NOT We Weren't Born To Follow. Just a pet peeve of mine, having the lead single open the album. Let's get a big fat rock song in there instead.

- General vague stuff about good lyrics, production, songs, musicianship etc. I had to put it in here somewhere ;)

- Since there are no post 2000 songs in my list of top 20 BJ songs, I'd quite like some songs that have the potential to be put in that list!

And that'll just about do me I think. Any more for any more?

I'd agree but want more rock songs. Also some grittier production would be nice - loved TDs production, I can just picture them in the studio belting it out whenever I hear the album.

I want RIFF ROCK as promised/

I DON'T want another TYFLM, as far as ballads go it isn't bad but it seemed too much like an attempt at a modern always. MAM is a good king of ballad it pretty fresh.

Another song like nothing too, that could have been such a success on HAND.

Finally, I don't want to hear the phrase "live my life" more than 3 times in th whole album.

I don't want to hear it any times TBH

I'd like a proper rock album too, but listening to WWBTF, I don't think that's what we're actually going to get :(

I want a couple of decent rock songs with good solos in.

Not too much to ask for.

I also want Jon to bring his 'LH Tour' voice back to the studio and make it sound good. I just want songs like Hey God and Damned etc.. :)

- A song or two over five minutes in length lke you said.

- Some rock songs.

- A great ballad.

- A creative song or two, something like we have never heard from the band.

Perfect sumary. By creative I guess we don't mean Kanye west appearing to sing a duet. :p

-A class ballad. MaM is the only truly great ballad they've done this decade. I don't want a carbon copy, but something with the same emotion.

-More acoustic elements.

-More developed lyrics. We saw this slightly on LH, and even more on WWBTF. I'm not talking about about "deep" lyrics atm, I just mean more developed turns of phrase, longer chorus's, etc.

-Allow Dave to shine through with the keys, maybe even have one "piano song" as it were.

-Deeper lyrics ala' WLOL or AOD. Not on every song, but a few.

-A love song that's not a ballad. Not the same type of music, but in the vein of ITA or BTBMB would be nice.

-A couple of songs that don't immediately sound like Bon Jovi, the way songs like Novocaine, or Say it Isn't So, or Something for The Pain, or Captain Crash don't. Again, not that I want songs that sound like those, but rather just don't sound typical of the band.

I'll try and think of more.

- Of course, some riff/rock songs

- More of Davids keys. You can barely hear them on LH

- I would love Richie to sing a song (though it won't happen)

- A cool piano intro ! When was the last time we got a killer piano intro ? Bad Medicine, I'd Die For You ? ;)

- Some Drop-D songs

- I want all members to sing back vocals. Not just Richie and Jon

- I'd love to see some dark lyrics, like These Days

Shall try to think of more...
