Extreme were just criminally underrated.
 

III Sides to Every Story is just the most perfect album. Amazing songwriting, structured uniquely and an overall 'mood' to the whole piece that knocks me over every time. Not a note out of place in 80 minutes.

Their performance at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert took incredible balls and was executed perfectly, by the time they introduce Love of My Life I have a tear every time.

And all anybody cocking remembers is More than Words.

Bah.

Great band and fabulous live but 'More than Words' (which I thought was a great song) did them a lot of harm really, (not to mention Gary Cherone's terrible dancing and even more terrible choice in footwear). Never forget them getting bottled at Donington.

Extreme really got me into Rock music in the early 90's fantasic band. RIP and Holehearted were great songs and I agree 3 sides was an amazing album. Pornograffitti was my fave album by them though.

nuno bettencourt amazing guitarist like alot of bands got tared with the shit brush because of one song(great song in fairness) .They have some amazing songs like get the funk out,little jack horny etc..but like europe with the final countdown they'll never be known for any off that hit songs can be a blessing and a curse

I know Richie really admired Bettencourt when Extreme were at the height of their sucess.

Bettencourt sounds better than ever in Satellite Party (Perry Farrell's new outfit). If you get the chance, check them out live.

Extreme's "3 Sides to very story "was amazing though it was a commercial failure. They were like the new Queen back then! Amazing record!

III Sides is a great album indeed.
