This show is not selling at all. Tickets which originally cost $260 are being sold for $60 (reais, not dollars), and they are giving away a lot of tickets in order to to save the show.

2. They won't. |

The problem is because the Arruda Stadium, has a 60.000 capacity, and the tickets are very expensive (except now, that they are selling in group on with more than 70% discount). They should have gone for a smaller venue in there or should have gone for Brasilia (where I think BJ would have more appeal). |

I don’t know how these tours are scheduled, but sometimes I think that Bon Jovi (mainly Jon) still think they are THE act all around the world. They have been struggling to fill 50K seats in Europe, where the fanbase is far stronger ... |
Am I the only one already cringing about Jon's vocals on this leg? The second half of the European tour was absolutely abysmal vocally, there's no way he'll sound any better now - especially when he probably once again hasn't given a flying f*ck about training his voice during the break...

Any setlist predictions? I have literally no expectations of any kind regarding anything.

The same as the last three years.

I think the huge ticket prices are there because promoters know the band would never fill the venue but refused to do smaller venues. That and a lot of time to just carry equipment from one place to the next doesn't help either. Salaam Aleikum, Sebastiaan |

I wondered why there weren't any videos, etc of the concert until I remembered that timezones exist.

It’s going to be interesting to see what setlist they’ll put out on Rock In Rio.
It has to be the hits. But Jon, please, just ask for an advice on the setlist from the label people in Brazil. It’s a very peculiar market for Bon Jovi. People expect MISUNDERSTOOD instead of Who Says You Can’t Go Home (I’m being serious). Other unusual Bon Jovi hits in Brazil: All About Loving You Everyday Something For The Pain (well, this one it’s interesting. Back in the day MTV had to pull out the videoclip from their daily top 10 to give others a chance). And yes, all Jon’s solo singles. I mean, “Janie” and the entire DA were a big hit. The band called Fresno, which opened up for Bon Jovi in Sao Paolo 2010, recorded a video just having fun on a trip singing that one very loud. Bon Jovi should stay away from the country stuff. People don’t care about those BJ stuff over here. |
According to Setlist.fm (so take this with a grain of salt), In These Arms was sung by David Bryan!
I honestly think this set is a small step up from Europe. WLOL was performed much later in the set than usual, so theoretically it wouldn't have dulled the mood as much as it would in slot 3 or 4 (though I still wish Jon would permanently drop it from live shows). If David did sing ITA, that would give Jon a nice break mid-show and hopefully allow him to go a bit longer, hence the 20-song main set. WGIGO, ILTT, and Captain Crash were all absent from this set as well. I still think Scars, Labor of Love, Real Love, I Will Drive You Home, Diamond Ring, Never Say Goodbye, acoustic Superman Tonight, or even The Fighter would be better choices than Amen for the slot between KTF and BOR. I probably would've also swapped Wanted and WDR so Jon's voice would be slightly stronger on the former. |

Can' t tell much about Jon's vocals cause this crowd is just insane singing it's my life. Kudos for those brazilians. Damn they are loud!

I like Blood on Blood as the encore opener, and at least they are playing a few THINFS songs to finish off the album tour.

In These Arms (David Bryan) Bon Jovi em Recife (Estádio do Arruda) - 22/09/19

I honestly wouldn't be mad if Dave just sung everything while Jon stood at the front of the stage silently shaking his ass for 2.5 hours.

Why couldn't they do it in Europe as well? It'd be a nice change for all of us.
I'm surprised Shanks played a decent solo. |
