I'm quite calm, thank you. As you posted this in "the new Richie Sambora album" thread, it seemed that you were unaware that this isn't a track from that album. So I was just letting you know that it isn't....

If you did know then it seems to me like you were deliberately trying to mislead people to think that this was a track on the new Sambora album....

1. I was just quoting golittleperson, and her post was here in this thread.
2. The link I posted is a little longer, so you can hear your Richie a little more (he still has some voice btw)
3. I don't like this kind of songs in general, that's why I mentioned Born Again Tomorrow and Walls.
4. I'm not an anti-Sambora, I just posted my opinion about this particular song... Actually I think Richie is irreplaceable in the band! And I hope his new solo album rocks.
5. As Rdkopper says, You truly are Mr Sensitive! -_- (I'm kidding)

1. Ok! For some reason I thought it was in the "Richie Sambora" thread. It was late and I was tired!
2. Ok! I'd already heard the link you posted, so didn't notice the difference.
3. Same here!

Don't be "negative"!
I HOPE he writes some acoustic songs too, or songs with acoustic intros.

Richie back in the studio with Michael Bradford.

I wonder who is producing this record. At the video from Norman's guitars he was with Bob rock and now he is with Michael Bradford all the time.

Interesting...maybe Bob had other commitments and is just co-producing? bit dissapointed of that's that case...but we'll see...

Couple of weeks ago the post should clarify: " I'm doing some, Bob's doing some and we're all doing some. All depends on who starts with a new idea. We're all friends, we're all pros. It's all good and it's all about Richie."

So, seems multiple producers which is not unusual.

Michael on his facebook said this to an Argentinian fan: We are making his new solo album right now. When it’s ready I will let you know. If we can create enough demand, then we can come to Argentina to play again!

I'm impressed - an Honest answer vs the prior "of course, would love to, definitely will" BS. IF there is demand, that's what is comes down to. Beats a lie, no show or silence after the fact.

That Michael plays bass very cool! (I could listen in Brazil 2016), so the bass going to sound good for sure, of course all depends on the songs

I think last time, part of the short demand was that some fans couldn’t just stand Orianthi (album/live) so I’m certainly more positive this time

I wonder how many songs they recorded here and how many Richie recorded at home and how big the involvement of Bob Rock is. I liked the RSO songs where only Richie sings so I would be happy if he keeps been involved.

Obviously Michael Bradford and Bob Rock were recording with Richie at his home and the last few days they got Stefanie Eulinberg to sit in here to play the drums.

I am really looking forward to this record.

Me too, richiefan! The posts from Michael are building much more anticipation for me than the ones for RSO. They're more focused. Reminds me of the tweets we got from Luke when they were working on AOTL.

I LOVE Stefanie!! Have ever since I saw her in 2002. I checked Kid Rock's 2019 dates and there are only a handful, so I'm hoping she might be available to tour with Richie. Besides being one kick-ass drummer, I like her attitude. She's funny and she takes no s*** from anyone. Not even Richie. On stage. :D

She sings, too; and I don't know if this was posted here or not, but she apparently messes around with guitar. (Not that I'd advise her to quit her day job...)
https://www.instagram.com/p/BtPa0OCA...d=gcukvm7ck4xw

I just hope this album has a cleaner sound. Richie doesn't need all the bells and whistles; and I don't care one bit if it sounds "current" or not. Just give the man a mic and a guitar and let him sing!

And, oh yeah... about that guitar. Any one of these would do nicely...

Or these...

(If it sounds anywhere near as pretty as it looks, I'll take the shiny li'l 12-string on the lower right, please; with a hot caramel coffee. To go.) :D

Seems like Richie Sambora got Tommy Lee to do the drums in his upcoming album. This sounds promising!

Yeah, I posted a link to the Instagram with a snippet on the Richie Sambora thread, because of a recent discussion about Tommy Lee, Richie, and Heather over there. Sorry. I probably should have posted it here instead.

I don't think Heather has anything to do with them getting together. I still remember Tommy's reaction to Howard's "joke" that he sort of made her the way she's now and how defensive he got. The last thing they'd discuss is Heather IMO... Speaking of ex'es, just saw Ori's insta. It seems her newest album is gonna be about somebody extremely toxic 'who didn't love her they way she deserved' and my 6th sense is telling me it's most probably about our boy here :3

**
And now I'm wondering whether the track belongs to Richie's or Tommy's album....

1. That relationship always seemed very weird, let's hope it doesn't get ugly if she starts to talk about Richie or vice versa lol.

2. However that doesn't change that the girl can't sing... https://www.instagram.com/p/BwEE1_Wnoty/

Here ya go, if anybody's interested:

Shadow of Love

I don’t know
Why I keep coming back
Just to be
Put under attack.
I could do better;
But I know me too well.
Gonna throw myself into (this one/world ?).
Something's calling me back to you,
Even with the shit I've been through,
And I know it's just gone: I won't do all the work
But I know I'm gonna

Hate myself in the morning;
But I can't help myself or you
I get so wasted on feelings;
Don't know what to do.
Your (??? preying playing?) on my insecurities
I can't help myself.
Boy, you know you put a spell on me,
My shadow, shadow (of) love; shadow, shadow love; shadow, shadow love

QUceK1WV8 04-11-2019 05:24 PM

Speaking of Ori and Sambora, I guess the missing guitars on their album all went to Don Felder's song Limelight. ffs what a cluster... Why couldn't they do that with their own songs?

Anyway, not missing her. Just hoping Richie puts something legit out. I am optimistic. Then again, I was optimistic about the other album too

Probably more so that Bob Rock connection than anything. I just hope it's not 4 years in the making. He needs to come back strong - 7 years gone is now about 12.

Reading the comments about Ori's lyrics - several of her snippets are "telling" - even the title. Love Bomb? Not urban dictionary good. She's going Taylor Swift, She posted on ig a "therapeutic" painting she was giving to a friend and all around the border were just words, some positive and a lot not so much. A few were "Wild ****ed up strong male", "demons intense affect on life", "promises broken" 'infidelity" and more.... She's definitely imo going to make it look very one sided. Never cared for her myself musically and felt she was toxic for him. He makes some choices though.

Don't want to burst anyone's bubble here, and please believe me, I WANT Richie to make a great album, but working with Tommy Lee is a big mistake. Tommy Lee is still thinking and acting like he is still in the 80's. Richie needs to work with people who are serious and mature, sorry but there is nothing mature about Tommy Lee at all. Ok, that is my 2 cents here, if you want to chew me up, be my guest! 😉

Captain_jovi 04-13-2019 06:59 AM

Not to belittle the musical side of things but end of the day Tommy is drumming. He is going to have zero input on the lyrics, themes and anything else. I'd be more worried if Tommy was producing and co-writing songs.

Tommy Lee has some swing like most "old school" drummers. Wouldn't want anyone from Motley Crue to contribute anything lyrically. Richie has all the ingredients here: Time, Heartbreak, Freedom, a great producer, choice to pick his collabs etc. All onus is on him now to create something great from a musical standpoint. I really wish he gets some good singers as well for a couple of songs for some variety. I liked what Mark Morton [Lamb of God] did with his recently released solo album [picking his peers/influences to guest on every track].

Huh? He's a killer drummer. That's all that matters...

Also Tommy's solo album Never A Dull Moment was fantastic and far removed from the 80s...as was his Methods of Mayhem stuff...but as Cap said, it's not like he'd have any input in anything other than drum parts if it's a Richie album...

Captain_jovi 04-13-2019 05:12 PM

Yeah it sounds like you're more worried being around Tommy is going to force Richie to relapse. No one is without sin and mistakes, I just want him working with talented people and he needs to rely on himself to not be influenced by anyone.

Thanks for posting the entire interview; so I can see Richie more serious moments... if he has already a title for the album I guess the album is taking shape; about the title... usually songwriters write about their life, in this case the title sounds upsidedown, kinda interesting.

Yeah, it sounded to me like a take on the quote "we write the soundtracks for people's lives" that he uses a lot, except in his case it's kinda reversed and the songwriting has shaped his life, or something. At any rate, I think it's promising because it sounds introspective and hopefully reflects where he is now and how he got there.

Best of all, it seems to have a focused album. I'm more excited about this one than with the new Jovi album, I just hope, as I said on another occasion, not to delay the matter too long.
