I'm here. It is awful quiet, I think. No one is talking. :(
And I can't say that my favorite ablum is the first one. :D

davefan 12-08-2003 12:08 AM

not my favourites but certainly liked it. Like it soo much that after loosing my copy I bought a new one on e-bay :D just to have the original again

b0n_Jov1 12-08-2003 01:55 AM

Its not my favourite album, because I just cant choose one to be my favourite, they are all great, but its one I appreciate very well. songs like runaway, shot trough the heart, burning for love, come back etc. turns me on, even if they are old and nobody loves them lol

~saz~ 12-10-2003 09:19 PM

It's my 3rd fave.
who else here likes 7800?

saz

Some songs off it are really good, and I think it was a great debut album. I love Get Ready, Roullete, Runaway, Shot Through The Heart, etc.

7800 wasn't quite as good, and then the music gets progressively better from there, until These Days really, then they hit a down hill slide as far as I'm concerned.

i think the first two albums werent much gorudnbrekaing...they pretty much goen strength to strength either tho i felt bounce coudl have been stronger.

Mine, absolutely. And I do keep on repeating that I do wonder why on earth lots of younger people keep on putting down 1st & 7800.

I'd agree Rob- Crush and Bounce do not continue the trend. In my opinion they have some good songs on them, but they are let down by the rather average ballads and the use of all the horrible Technology (Drum loops etc.)

Yeah U would qualify as "younger ppl". But, what i meant was that if someone really prefers first or 7800 over TD and recent ones, them are usually "older" ppl.

Im listening to the debut album now actually.....

I love Runaway, Roulette and Shot Through the Heart! Others that are good are Love Lies, Come Back and Get Ready. The songs that arn't bad but I could just as easily do without are She Don't Know Me, Breakout and Burning For Love...

I think it's a great debut and has a lot of energy. The music is quite intense and shows a more youthful, immature and less experienced BJ that would eventually evolve into the IMO superior Slippery and New Jersey...

I prefer 7800 myself cause I think that was a more solid effort, but this stands at number 7 just ahead of Bounce which is my least favourite.

The first two albums are actually really odd in that BJ set themselves up as this dark heavy rock band, and then completely dispelled that image with Slippery

Keep On Rockin'

cos that image just didnt work. i think really only the 2nd album is 'dark'...the first is just a typical debut of any rock band in that era.
