7800 Fahrenheit!Good or Bad?
Well,I just wanted to add discussion about 7800 Fahrenheit album that was in my opinion one of better Bon Jovi records, but on the other hand this album has mark as Bon Jovi lesser effort from fans and band itself.
To me is better than whole 00's era albums,it has great rock anthems such as "Hardest Part is The Night","In and Out of Love","Only Lonely",plus 2 other gems "Always Run To You","Secret Dreams",it lacks in great ballad,it has one stupid song "To the Fire" but that's not reason for failure,is it? I think that this album is way underrated, and I'm sad that band doesn't play songs from him live,I hoped maybe for MSG 08 they will make surprise, but no...:( |
We actually had a nice discussion of Fahrenheit just a couple of months ago -
http://drycounty.com/jovitalk/showthread.php?t=45138 I don't expect that I'll ever see the guys do anything from the album live, so I was happy when Slippery When Wet, a local tribute band, did In & Out of Love the last time I saw them! |
7800º is AWESOME!
Its a close fight with These Days for me. I love every song of it. Maybe someday the band will play something from it. :) |
Puh, 7800 is hardly good.
IT'S ****ING AWESOME! |
Yeah 7800 is easily one of the best albums. Brilliant :)

IT ROCKS!!! Love it! It's good.

It's a really good album and it's underrated. It would be really awsome if the next time they tour, they made 1 slot a night for a song off of the first two albums instead of playing Runaway all the time. it would make the show that much better.

Yes,great album and I think that only reason why Jon doesn't sing songs from it is because either they are vocaly demanding or maybe he thinks no one would listen to those songs anymore because of poor sales:
1.Slippery When Whet - over 28 million worldwide sales 2.Crossroads - over 25 million worldwide sales 3.New Jersey - over 18 million worldwide sales 4.Keep The Faith - over 13 million worldwide sales 5.These Days - over 10 million worldwide sales 6.Crush - over 9 million worldwide sales 7.Have a nice day - over 7 million worldwide sales 8.Bounce - over 6 million worldwide sales 9.Lost Highway - over 3.5 million worldwide sales 10.100 million fans can't be wrong - over 2.5 million worldwide sales 11.Bon Jovi - over 2 million US sales 12.7800 Fahrenheit - over 1 million US sales 13.This Left Feels Right - over 300.000 US sales These figures where taken from wiki... |
Not a fan.
Never have been. |
Yeah, we already had this topic not long ago. Like I said in there - I really don't like it. I like a few songs on there, and I think Jon's voice is sounding very nice in it. But as a whole, it bores me, it's dull IMO. And I'm not saying that because that's what Jovi says. :p I just really can't take to it. I think there's only 3 or 4 songs, I can listen to willingly all the way through. And even then I hardly ever do.

I was so fixated with this album when I first bought it, it was all I would listen to. Well, this and Keep The Faith.
And I remember thinking that I had heard Only Lonely before, like it was a regular on the radio or something  Dunno what I smoked that night. |
It's funny, but this album was certificated Gold before the debut album. But t othis day, it ended less successful because they don't play any song from this one.
"In and Out of Love" music video is really awesome, one of their best videos. |

well put :) xx amanda xx |
It's crap. I'm glad they don't play any of it live anymore.
Still better than Bounce though. |
Aloha !
You're all a bunch of wankers. I don't think most of you have ever heard proper live versions of the songs anyway. I'd take songs like Tokyo Road, Hardest Part Is The Night and In & Out Of Love over shit like Story Of My Life and Summertime any day! Salaam Aleikum, Sebastiaan |
It's awfully bad!
|
It's really good to me.
|
It's a ****ing Brilliant album just like the first album.
|
Wasn't a fan but it's grown on me over time. The somewhat unpolished feel of it is pretty cool.

My loooong review of 7800: http://drycounty.com/jovitalk/showth...highlight=7800
