Chester Bennington died

Shocking news to me... I've never been a diehard fan but Linkin Park were hugh in my country when I was a teenager.

Same here. They were the Nirvana of my youth and I really liked their stuff when I was around 15-18 years old. So sad to hear this :(

They were huge here in The States as well. After A Thousand Suns, they weren't heard from as much, and were kind of seen as outdated, but I still loved Living Things (which I find has a similar sound to WAN but better-produced) and (to a lesser extent) The Hunting Party and One More Light.

Apparently Chester was extremely close with Chris Cornell, and was heartbroken when he hanged himself a couple months ago. It can't be a coincidence that Chester killed himself on what would've been Cornell's birthday...

Hybrid Theory is a fantastic album. Sad news.

Was Chris more important to him than his family and fans? Everything's scary as hell bc I don't believe in coincidences. Do you remember his open letter after Chris' death? That explains a lot. Well, I've read Chester did talk about committing suicude in the past...

I can a only assume he wrote or cowrote the latest single "Heavy." There is so much pain in that song and he had certainly had his battles in life. Very sad.

I'm so gutted. I've seen them twice at The O2 (2011, 2014) and both times, I had a Dry County moment, where my favourite LP song (Somewhere I Belong) was performed on the other night :(

This month, they did 1 show at The O2, but I couldn't get tickets at the time (due to finances). And guess which song I missed again....? :( :(

Announcement has been made on the cancellation of the remaining dates. I wonder if the band will continue.....
