Disgraceful.

Only Nebraska from Springsteen, too.

This list is pretty shitty in my opinion. It doesn't have any "major" artists of the 80's: no Bon Jovi, Def Lep, Madonna, Aerosmith, etc. Was Michael Jackson on the list anywhere? I mean he was HUGE in the 80's come on. It seems to be alot of bands who were not very mainstream. Yuck.

about big 80's artists not being in the top 100, that's the whole thing about Pitchfork... they tend to focus on 'underground' artists or the "more famous but still indie" groups (Radiohead for example...)

You can call it snobbish (and sometimes they really are imo) but I think it's great that there is something like Pitchfork that gives attention to these 'underground' bands rather than praising the crap that's dominating the charts nowadays like Rolling Stone...

Well I wouldn't expect to see several Tom Waits albums on a mainstrean list, or Leonard Cohen either for that matter. However Springsteen was huge in the 80's and they chose his quiet solo work (which I happen to love). Paul Simon was certainly mainstream and his Graceland album was also huge and it's on that list, as is GNR's Appetite for Destruction.

It certainly isn't my choice of a list but I like a lot of their choices.
