Social Disease Thread

What do you think of the song? Do you think it should of been replaced with one of the outtakes? It's my favourite song ever and I'd love to hear the community's thoughts on it ! :D

One of the weaker songs for me.

Never have been a big fan of it. Would've loved for Borderline to have made that cut. But there's certainly songs from the band's catalogue I like less. Though not many from the 80s [emoji28]

I prefer Borderline over the album version as well though the faster live versions I'm a huge fan of. Shame that it was only documented 10 times :(

Deleted from my playlist for obvious reasons.

Iv always loved the song , don’t understand the hate for it ! Certainly better than edge of a broken heart in my book , if there is one song I would change , i would replace without love , for borderline

Not gonna lie, its the song on slippery I always forget about, but always enjoy the surprise when it comes on. No idea why I forget about it, cool song.

The intro seriously dates the song; they wouldn't be caught dead pulling stuff like that afterwards. The tune itself is... unremarkable. Not sure what I'd replace it with; obviously Edge of a Broken Heart is a great track, but you'd need to keep the flow of the album in mind, too.

Very much agreed. That's what I've also always been saying with New Jersey. There may be better single tracks here and there in the outtakes, but in terms of the album's flow, I'd never change it. With Slippery, I stick with the opinion that Borderline could've worked in the album's flow, Edge only as a bonus track though. With Social Disease - yeah, it's catchy and has energy, but it's also more or less a typical generic pop-rock sound overall like many from that era that have been forgotten since then.
