Barenaked Ladies

IMO this guys are among the greatest pop rock bands of all time. I have four of their album so far (Gordon, Maroon, Everything to Everyone and Stunt) and they are absolutely and completely top quality. Great vocals, simple but enjoyable instrumentation and fine lyrics with very catchy melodies.

I'm sure some of you hear heard some of their tracks. Maybe One Week or If i had a 1,000,000, but they are so much more than just their singles.

Honestly how can anyone not like these songs?:
Go Home (Maroon):

Alcohol (Stunt):

Grade 9 (Gordon):

Upside Down (Everything to Everyone):

I've been a fan for years and have seen them many times. Unfortunately, without Steve, they are just not the same.

I love that you singled out Go Home and Upside Down, two really overlooked songs. Sadly they'll always be looked at as a novelty band with one hit. Some of it is way darker than you'd think.

Absolutely adore Tonight is the Night. Brilliant song. Sell Sell Sell is another favorite from the same album.

Haven't heard their last album, so don't really have an opinion on it. Page and Robertson are the central creative forces though, so i can imagine without him there would be something missing

Yeah i agree that they're seen as a one hit wonder, but they really have a lot of great songs. New Kid on the Block, Pinch Me, War on Drugs and Call and Answer are better than what most bands can muster up.

One of my all-time favourite songs by BNL

They are pretty decent, though my only exposure to them is One Week and the theme song to The Big Bang Theory.

Had no idea they did the big bang theory theme song. Makes sense.

If you enjoyed One Week, you'd probably like most of their material (especially the Stunt and Maroon albums). Its far from their best song, but a good representation of what the band can offer
