Was there really any demand for this?
Where is the second box set volume? |

Like with any greatest hits album from any band, it's for casual fans and potential new ones. I won't be buying it myself as I already have everything it's offering, save for the new songs which i can purchase individually if I really wanted to. Like you, I'm only clamoring for either new material or Deluxe Editions/Box Sets. |
A remix of Rock On is considered one of the "new songs"? Hard pass.

That 2004 best of was my first Def Leppard album. Remember listening to it when I was on the train on the way to the open day for where I ended up going to Uni ... it's now been 10 years since I graduated. Man, time flies!

Yet I still picked up the 2004 Best Of (2CD version) in early 2005. Can’t remember exactly why, especially when I could have bought something like High ‘n’ Dry or On Through the Night (albums I was still yet to hear) instead. |

Def Leppard was my very first concert 10 years ago and in the months leading up to it, I listened to a lot of that 'Best of' album on my way to school leading up to the show. When Love and Hate Collide was my favorite. I thought the show was amazing, but I didn't know any better back then. Now I think they're just OK live. |

Journey absolutely slayed me in contrast, but I only recently started getting to know their material beyond the obvious so everything was fresh and performed with heart. I'm in love now. |
