I didn't think much of them when I first saw them (in 2003 I think) but they are almost a different band now and they sound terrific. Especially if you like good acoustic harmony. Ryan's (the lead singer) voice has also improved over the years.

Jim Bon Jovi 01-13-2012 10:47 PM

Just realised that my Explosions in the Sky tickets were only £22 not £35 which is a nice drunken purchase win. :)

RSROCKS 01-27-2012 07:07 PM

Red Hot Chili Peppers. Boom!

Kathleen 01-27-2012 08:03 PM

Spent all day trying to get Bruce tickets - I won some and lost some. Stub Hub here I come :(

Sambo-Chris 01-27-2012 08:48 PM

Bamboozle.

Just got Tickets for Bruce in Florida.

milomom 01-30-2012 05:32 AM

Not only did I NOT get tix for Bruce on Friday (insert bad words here), tonight I learned that my Southside Johnny show on Valentine's Day in North Carolina isn't happening after all. Nevermind that I already bought a ticket. :(

OK....so my mega cool wife has just bought me tickets to see Motley Crue in Vegas on the 17th. She has organised flights and a 4 night stop over. You know your wife is cool when she lets you fly from Australia to Vegas solo to see a band you love. This time in 2 weeks I will be on the plane. Excited doesn't even come close...
Even if I caught my missus cheating on me now, she would just need to say "I let you see The Crue in Vegas" and I would have to forgive her and let her carry on...

Lucky! Really savor this performance, there's been talk from all the members of Crue of going their separate ways very soon. I saw Vince Neil do a solo show about 2 months ago and he was really great, he sounded a lot better than he did when I saw Crue together 6 months prior.

Budge 02-01-2012 12:57 PM

Bamboozle :D

The Stone Roses, Manchester 1st July.

Rewind The 80's. :Fade-col: Henley-on-Thames. 18-19 Aug

Yeah, definitely going to savour this one. I still can't believe my wife is letting me fly to Vegas for this. I saw The Crue a few months ago in Australia, but this is gonna be huge. Loved 'em since I was 7, they were the second band I got into after Jovi. Bring it on!

Sweet you'll have seen the wall a year and a day after I did. :D

I really don't think I'll ever see anything like it again.

Bought these a while back but I'm going to see Big Country on Monday :)

Jim Bon Jovi 02-02-2012 11:21 PM

Sweet. Turns out it's GUN supporting Big Country :D

Wish I'd stuck it out with my old band that rehearsed next door to them, might have been able to pull some backstage strings.

Thierry 02-03-2012 02:28 PM

Dream Theater 2 days ago. And Chickenfoot in January.

Going to see GNR twice in June, also got a ticket for RHCP in Nijmegen.

Hopefully some Sambora solo gigs this year too.

milomom 02-03-2012 08:46 PM

I defeated the evil Ticketmaster and got a ticket to see Bruce in Greensboro, North Carolina! Tomorrow morning I do battle again in hopes of getting a ticket for the Atlanta show.

You're dreaming - but if dreams come true I hope to see Richie solo too.

Hopefully we're not dreaming if Richie means what he twitters. .-)

Sambo-Chris 02-03-2012 11:41 PM

I wouldn't take the tweet too serious regarding the context in that he tweeted this. It was just an answer to a stupid question.

life_of_agony 02-08-2012 08:55 AM

So...just to brag again...
I'm flying to VEGAS!!!! 6 more sleeps, flying over for 4 nights and seeing the spectacularly mighty Motley Friggin' Crue on 17th February at The Hard Rock.

Still can't believe my wife is letting me go to Vegas solo. Talk about trust. Now I think of it...it is kinda hurtful. She obviously thinks I'm so ugly that I couldn't pull even if I wanted to.

MOTLEY!!! VEGAS!!! JETLAG!!!! BABY!!!!

You have every right to brag! I know the feeling of getting to travel to see concerts and it's just so exciting. I flew from Arizona, USA to Dublin last summer for the 2 Bon Jovi shows and it was the best week ever, I met Jon and everything. Hopefully you have the same luck I did :D

Sweet!
4 more sleeps...1 more day of work...
Feeling pretty frigging pumped right now. Not looking forward to the long arse flight though.

I don't know if it's an acoustic show. I will lose my shit if it is though.

asok80 02-24-2012 01:10 PM

Chris Cornell Acoustic in London June 18! yay!

Savvi 03-24-2012 04:33 AM

Last I saw was Roxette who were amazing. But tonight I'll be seeing Duran Duran live. Should be good! :D

bonjovi821 03-24-2012 06:08 AM

Motley Crue and KISS, but I've mentioned that elsewhere.

Sambo-Chris 03-28-2012 10:36 AM

Green Day and Gaslight Anthem (no not together LOL).

Thunderstrucker 03-28-2012 08:30 PM

I went to see Paul McCartney last Saturday. First concert of the European leg of the tour and of all 4 concerts I seen of him, this one was the best by far!
2 hours and 50 minutes without a break. A great atmosphere, Paul was very relaxed and goofing around a bit with the audience and the sound was suberb! 9/10!

I salute you,
TS

Jealous. :(

Apparently some nights they've been getting a great reception and other nights the complete opposite. Cheer for them Erik, please! ;)

Miracle 04-17-2012 01:54 AM

More Trews tickets for a club show in St. Catharines for me and Captain Jovi.

Im going with a 7 other people and 4 are only going because of the arctic monkeys with black keys being the bonus. So, I'm sure it will be great.

And Steph- I can't say how jealous I am of the amount of trews gigs you have been on this tour. Ive only been to 4 and I still want more!

The way I'm justifying it is that I've seen these shows for the same amount I would normally spend on one or two Jovi tickets...and I'm getting a helluva lot more shows and excitement out it.

Panda 04-19-2012 12:35 AM

Well considering at any given time The Trews are playing SOMEWHERE in Ontario at least once every month, I'd be doing the same. They're coming back here for the Calgary Stampede, or so they said at the last show, so that will be my next show.

milomom 04-24-2012 12:10 AM

Grace Potter & The Nocturnals - June 22 in Knoxville, Tennessee

:D

Captain Walrus 04-29-2012 06:42 PM

SOUNDGARDEN at Hard Rock Calling in July

Very excited! :D

Sambo-Chris 04-29-2012 07:25 PM

The Killers at Berlin Festival in September.

They were one of the worst opening bands I've ever seen. They stood stalk still the whole night, the sound was completely off, and did next to zero interactions with the crowd. I'm sorry, they did not impress at all. Really, really boring live.

Black Keys on the other hand blew them out of the water. Fantastic live band.
