Tickets for the Fighters de Foo @ Manchester :) |
Jean Michel Jarre - Oxygene live at the Albert Hall. Wooohooo. Y'know, in my dreams it would be a whole show of Rendevous, but this is still pretty special. He is one of the the artists who very first opened my ears to music. At a very young age.
Seems odd that he's 59 now. Tegan & Sara. |
Def Leppard and Whitesnake :D
|
Henry Rollins
Levellers. Easily a place in my all-time top 10 live acts, easily. So many times when they just played for the moment and had an honest culture around them. 20th anniversary tour of Levelling the Land. - |

I forgot about this thread. The last thing i saw that I bought a ticket to was La Boheme by Puccini. I know that most of you will say blech - opera.
I say to you that Bon Jovi is music for the heart and so is Puccini (as opposed to music for the head). If you are a Bon Jovi fan - and you love the gorgeous music even though the lyrics might make you cringe - Puccini is the guy for you. How can you complain about a composer whose music is so relentlessly memorable? He wrote La Boheme, Tosca, and Madama Butterfly but he died before completely finishing Turandot (the Vincero song - Stars! At daybreak I shall win! I shall win! I shall win!"). This last became a soccer anthem as sung by Pavarotti The emotion and beautiful melodies from these opeas stay with you. |
Nothing for ages now, slightly depressing :(
Sat and watched a superb busker for about 40 minutes the other day though. He did all the typical acoustic busking tracks: Heroes, Hallelujah, Let it Be and so on. He caught my ear on Wanted though, I've never heard a busker do that. I gave him a tenner, which felt fair for a 40 minute open air gig :D |
the B-52s.............

I saw one of my heroes Grant Lee Phillips yesterday. Acoustic show.
One of the best songwriters ever :) It was a great consert! |
Grant Lee Phillips = Awesome.
