Many great ballads has been listed so far, but my favorite post 2000 will always be “She’s A Mystery”. Idk why, maybe the memories connected to that song is what makes it so unique, but it also makes it so that I can barely listen to it. It has to be a special occasion of some sort.
I know it was written before 2000s etc. but I’ll count it anyway |

There are ballads and love songs.
If we are talking about traditional ballads, TAALS, which is mirrored after I'll Be There for You, might be it... Right Side Of Wrong is questionable and Save The World, which is mirrored after Always, could also be debated as well. Sent from my SM-A136U using Tapatalk |
Luv Can
There's something about that song that just pulls me in on every listen, the lyrical content, the melody and production it's a excellent track. It's too bad the song fell victim to being on the band's pandemic record. Luv Can honestly deserves to be released/reissued as a standalone EP along with Shine too or with the band's upcoming record (when there is one) |

Make a Memory

Hello again, it's you and me Kinda always like it used to be Sippin' wine, killing time Trying to solve life's mysteries How's your life, it's been a while? God it's good to see you smile I see you reaching for your keys Looking for a reason not to leave If you don't know if you should stay If you don't say what's on your mind Baby just breathe There's nowhere else tonight we should be You wanna make a memory I dug up this old photograph Look at all that hair we had It's bitter sweet to hear you laugh Your phone is ringin' I don't wanna ask If you go now I'll understand If you stay, hey, I've gotta plan You wanna make a memory? You wanna steal a piece of time? You can sing the melody to me And I can write a couple lines You wanna make a memory If you don't know if you should stay And you don't say what's on your mind Baby just breathe There's nowhere else tonight we should be (We should be) (We should be) You wanna make a memory? You wanna steal a piece of time? You can sing the melody to me And I can write a couple lines You wanna make a memory You wanna make a memory Jon's voice was great on this song. |

As much as I enjoy Luv Can, I actually much prefer Shine. I love when that first chorus hits. Both songs should have been on 2020. They're my most played tracks on the album. Waaaaaaaaaayyyyy better than Unbroken which is such a shit song. Such a shame that American Reckoning and Do What You Can made way for these two great tracks. Should have been the other way around.
