It looks like I'll be in Cancun on the date of the London gig so will have to shift my ticket now :(

New single is pretty decent, and very interesting with the synthesizers. Kind of reminds me of Neil Diamond's "America"

It's a very good song. It doesn't strike me yet as a classic Bruce song but it sounds like a solid pop/rock song. It's like Jon Landau has said, a very new sound for Bruce & the ESB. It's going to be extremely interesting to hear the entire album considering it's being produced by someone other than Brendan O'Brien and from this song, sounding really good.

Sounds like Arcade Fire, but then they based a lot of their sound on Bruce's work so it's come full circle.
It's quite anthemic and I'm sure it'll sound great live. The Negatives - I felt the song needed a solo of some sort and there's a bit too much Patty vocal going on. Not sure if it's strong enough to be a lead single, it's no Radio Nowhere. Can't wait to hear the rest of the new stuff. |

Marking his 17th studio album, 'Wrecking Ball' features 11 new Springsteen songs and was produced by Ron Aniello with Bruce Springsteen and executive producer Jon Landau. A special edition of 'Wrecking Ball' will also be available and include two bonus tracks and exclusive artwork and photography. 'Wrecking Ball' Song Titles: We Take Care of Our Own Easy Money Shackled and Drawn Jack of All Trades Death to My Hometown This Depression Wrecking Ball You've Got It Rocky Ground Land of Hope and Dreams We Are Alive Said long-time manager Jon Landau, "Bruce has dug down as deep as he can to come up with this vision of modern life. The lyrics tell a story you can't hear anywhere else and the music is his most innovative in recent years. The writing is some of the best of his career and both veteran fans and those who are new to Bruce will find much to love on 'Wrecking Ball.'" Bruce Springsteen will make an appearance as the keynote speaker at SXSW 2012. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will be touring extensively in the US and Europe in 2012. 'Wrecking Ball' is available for pre-order now on Amazon and iTunes. "We Take Care of Our Own" is available now as a digital single and can be previewed here. _______ "Features 11 new songs"? Interesting since 2 of the song titles would certainly lead us to believe that they aren't "new." |
