Edge Of A Broken Heart

ok....i found this on a single i borrowed from a friend (i 4get which one) about 6 months ago.
fell in love with this song the second i heard it.
the sound....so heartbreaking...yet so inspiring.
i can relate 2 it 100%.....almost kills me hearing it,yet i could have this thing on a loop all day.

just a couple of questions: when was this recorded?
(it was on a 90s cd single, perhaps from KTF)
it sounds like it is from the NewJersey era.

& also....r there any live soundboard shows where this was played live?
(probably common knowledge amongst most fans....but im not up on the bon jovi outtakes/bootlegs scene that much....ask me about any Prince bootleg tho! )

also give ur opinions on this song.
this sound with She Dont Know Me....If I Was Your Mother....Only Lonely etc...
THIS is the stuff i love.
(made a compilation of songs called "riding the night with Bon jovi" ....i think u probably get the jist of the sound im talking about.

peace & thanx if u can help :)

It was recorded during the SWW era and appeared on the soundtrack for the movie Disorderlies. There are no live performances that I can remember.

It is a very good song none the less.

It's also on the Wanted Dead or Alive CD single, which by the way has my favourite version of Wanted---that studio acoustic version is FANTASTIC.

Cheers,

because they had plenty of room left as there was only like 43 minutes on the cd

it is a very good song

Back then there were only LP's which only gave you a maximum of length of about 44 minutes.

The same for me. Though fans went crazy on that song during the Slippery Era when they heard it as a b-side through some way that it even became a radio singel in the US.

Sebastiaan

Mad4Jovi 09-08-2003 12:02 AM

It also appeared on the UK 12" of Livin on a Prayer :)

I love it too- I have it on a collection of demos. Out of the blue I heard it a couple months ago on the radio during a lunchtime request hour which was unexpected. It was a Delaware station- WSTW.

So, by the time NJ came around they had longer LPs?

Back then there was also Cassettes which had more time than that.

This statement simply is not true. The standard for albums at the time was 10 songs on average. They simply chose not to put the track on the album and regretted that decision later.

Lauracia 09-08-2003 05:20 AM

that song is beautiful
i love it every time <3

walterjovi 09-08-2003 01:40 PM

kety 09-08-2003 09:51 PM
