Man, he needs to cut his hair. Looks like an old granny.

JoviForever 05-12-2022 06:14 PM

They both need dragging to the barbers. If only he spent as much time promoting his music as he does his wine!😡

His wine probably sells better.

Butters 05-13-2022 08:41 PM

He looks amazing. And he's done a nice thing with his son. Don't get how anyone can criticize him for this.

Thinny 05-13-2022 08:50 PM

Not sure how anyone can claim he looks amazing. The hair is awful, I don't understand why he keeps it long! He'd look fine with it short.

But I don't have a problem with the wine thing, why shouldn't he? To be honest I'd rather he did that that sing these days....

rolo_tomachi 05-13-2022 08:59 PM

I'm going to break a spear for his hair. Jon with long hair looks like a rocker, still cool, at least when it comes to live shows and promotional photos. When he cuts his hair..... we have version 2.0 of Bill Clinton.

The guy can't always look great, give him a break. About the wines... I don't have a problem either, but we're here for the music, so sometimes you just wish Jon would do more stuff related to that.

He's 60 years old! He has a great head of hair, for his age. His skin looks great, his teeth are perfect, he's in brilliant shape. **** me, I'd give anything to look as good as that in 30 years time.

Having stood directly behind him on the One show a few years ago whilst he was sat down I can say he hasn’t got a full head of hair.

There’s quite a bald patch on the top combed over. Not dissing that btw, totally normal for men his age and probably why he’s keeping it long these days

He's definitely had one hair transplant and probably more at this point. His brother is basically a cueball so he's definitely fighting against the tide. Still, as I said, I hope I have that much hair at his age.

Alphavictim 05-14-2022 02:08 AM

I thought he got a hair transplant as early as in his 20s? But hair style nonwithstanding, yeah, the guy is 60! I personally don't care what he looks like, but knocking him for it is hella weird.

steel_horse75 05-14-2022 09:45 AM

In the book Nothin but a good time about 80s rock someone said that bret michaels always had the thinnest hair and was probably bald at 30. Hence why he always wears a bandana.

I think a lot of these rockers have hair transplants. As someone said his brother is bald so there’s a chance Jon would’ve started losing some as well.

There was a documentary series on TV some time ago with Rudi Dolezal. He was part of DoRo productions, a quite famous duo that had worked with a number of the world's greatest artists in their day, including Queen.
They did film the Zurich concert for Bon Jovi and it was said that Jon axed a few certain camera shots in the final cut because they would've revealed too much of a bald spot [emoji23]

Aging with dignity, not dying your hair, etc. Yeah, right

You'd be surprised how many artists have had implants, Bono, James Hetfield, Bruce Springsteen. They are stars, and they have to take care of their image.

I'm pretty sure he had one done around the time of U571 when he cut his hair much shorter. There are a few videos where you can see the linear scar on the back of his head when he is sweating on stage and his hair is wet.

Considering how much shit people give him and Richie for their hair, I doubt they'd be more merciful if he had just gone bald.

As does Lars Ulrich's dad!

In interviews I've read Jon talks about still having his hair as if that's some great accomplishment. I guess the accomplishment is his ability to make it look like he has kept his hair? After all the dying he did of his hair I'm surprised it lasted as long as it has.

I think we've established even his hair is not really his hair and like many other celebs he's had *possibly more than one* a hair transplant :D

Hair transplants move your own hair follicles from the back of your head to the top of your head, so it is his hair. He isn't wearing a wig. Also, if you are going bald, you'll need three or four transplants to get any reasonable coverage. If he's had one - which he most certainly has - then he has probably had more.

We give Backstagers shit when they go after Jon for his looks then turn around and say how we think he should look. It's a dumb double standard.

The looks don't factor one lick into the talent.

Thank you - you are correct.

The knock on Bon Jovi was always that it wasn't about their music it was about Jon's looks.
After listening to YouTubes of those few concerts this year I would say if people are still paying money it must still be about Jon's looks! At 60 he still looks much better than he sounds.

There's a many different factors in play here. People know and love the hits but the percentage of people going who even know they're still making albums or youtubing how they sound live now is probably shockingly low. 2017 wasn't good or great but passable and plunking down $100+ every two or three years to see a band from your youth, grabbing dinner and drinks with some friends you always go to shows with, THAT's the majority of the audience.

It's very important to remember 3/4 of the stuff we complain about wouldn't even register to most people. Granted there are absolutely people there for Jon's looks, It feels like it doesn't seem to be the majority anymore. Which is wild.

How can you tell that?
