Good old times:

https://youtu.be/nSyXbNi4ii0

Those versions of Hallelujah, Saturday Night, Thorn In My Side, Blood On Blood, Wild Is The Wind, Always and These Days are absolutely awesome. Nowadays, there's nothing left of this greatness in any shape or form - NOTHING.

How I wish a time machine existed, so I could travel back to 2011 and tell Jon not to resume smoking as well as not to start the writing/recording process of the next album too early after the GH tour, so Richie would have had time to promote Aftermath, which could've resulted to him still being part of the band today... :(

If you had a time machine, you could simply relive the first 30 years of the band and dismiss anything from 2013 onwards. The quality of the musical output wouldn't be higher if they took a longer break after 2011. :D

What makes you think he'd listen to you? You'd have been how old, 12? :p

C'mon man, who wouldn't listen to such an accomplished, world famous vocal analyst as BJFan99?:p

My very first Bon Jovi concert!
Let's hope Raise Your Hands won't get replaced with Because We Can. :D

That was fantastic gig. The crowd was immense, and Jon was possessed during Blood on Blood and Saturday Night. Too bad I lost my passport at this gig, which made me loose the following show in Belgium.

phoenixy 07-17-2019 08:02 PM

Switchfoot finished at 19:45.
Bon Jovi should start at 20:30, but I won't update... Ni reception (this post took me 15mins to write, haha).

Not sure whether Richie would still be in the band regardless of promoting his album or not... the performance in 2011 was excellent, no question. What we have now is a pale imitation, no less no more. The history and music is still there to be enjoyed though.

Another packed stadium tonight

It's funny (or sad) that it's turning out to be one of the biggest European Tours in terms of attendance despite being the worst ever in terms of performance.

Crowd looks pretty dead, sadly.

A setlist like this in isolation is fine, but a bit boring. However, it's very poor that this is the same as always with a couple of changes.

Given the fact how much he aged since 2013, he'll probably look like that on the next tour

Just because there is a new album doesn't mean there will be a tour (in Europe) Matt isn't even on tour with them anymore.

This tour was pretty bad, even though they rehearsed a lot (judging from the social media posts) I am glad I enjoyed Wembley and I should have left it at that (I was saying it will be my last Jovi show and went to Munich, stupid me) I wish it had not ended after Prayer and I hoped my last show would be with Richie on stage and Phil but I got Shanks so this is the only part that ruined it for me. I wil probably be done after this tour because the soul is mostly gone and it is just Jon's fake smile, bad vocals, redneck Shanks, an old Tico and David who might be the most solid one but always was the least important part for me.

The year is 2050. A robot called Tico2000 counts the band in as Wembley stadium hosts Bon Jovi: This Retirement Home Is Not For Sale Tour. The entire stadium is seated as the aging crowd slowly tap their knees as holograms of Richie, David and Alex (RIP) play the intro to Bon Jovi's latest top 1000 single 'I'm In Love With Money"

Jon glides out onto the stage on his segway and gives one of his trademark smiles but his teeth fall out. He quickly pulls another set from his pocket and tries to work the crowd "I see a lot of old faces here tonight! I ain't leaving this stage until my colostomy bag is full baby!"

"1,3,5,2!"

Dementia has truly set in and Jon doesn't know how to count anymore but everything is fine because the band are programmed and the crowd are too old to notice.

https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...1fae7f6537.jpg

bonjovi90 07-18-2019 01:12 AM

And after we've all watched a 16K 7.2 Dolby Surround live video someone had streamed from his phone, people will tell us that "Jon's still got it", "his counting was just off because videos don't show how it really was and being there in person you don't notice the mistakes" (probably because the audience suffers heavy dementia as well).

Then jovifan93 will say that he hears improvements in Jon's voice since the tour kick-off at the Atria Senior Living Residency in New Jersey.

And a day later BJFan99 will draw a comparison to either Always or These Days from 2019, telling us how much worse it got and that the end is near.

Of course, at the same time, Matt will tell us that this won't be the last tour since a new album is already in the making.

Good time lying ahead. :)

Where did you get this info from? It doesn't match the setlist posted by the band's social media account.
