The other song that gets me on the verge of tears is Miss Fourth Of July... Those two keep doing it time and again though on the first listen lots of songs did it.

It should be great to here the song "finished", not just the demo, don't you think ??

I don't know if it's just the demo version - I think it was recorded specifically for the boxset.

Also, I like it just the way it is now.

Its possibly one of the best songs on the boxset, I can normally take or leave richies voice, but he really owns this song, it sounds superb

I like the song but I had prefered a guitar song and not piano on the box set.

The 91 demo of it is a "normal" guitar song.

I used to have an mp3 of the '91 demo in my old computer. It was really bad quality and the drums really ovepowered the other instruments in it, but the song itself sounded awesome, and the guitar parts in it were great as well, I don't remember if it had a solo but I definetly remember the begining part of it.

I love this song too but what I think that makes it so great is that you can hear the emotion/passion in the way he sings it. The way he goes from the high chorus to a low verse and his voice is kind of 'breaking', I dont think they would ever let his voice be like this on an album. But I do think that is what makes the song amazing because the lyrics are just majorly cheesy :D :D :D .

I don't know how it would sound with a guitar, but the piano fits perfectly IMO. Though I admit I was a little bit surprised by the lack of guitar in the song.

I love this song... i'm sure that i have heard it before.. it was possibly on a B side of one of his singles here in Australia.

Unfortunatly- i have *just* gone through a break up, so i can't stand to listen to this song at the moment.... i lose it.

When i've finished unpacking my boxes, i'll see if i can find the CD Singles that i have of Richie's.

I absolutely love this song now. It gets better each time you listen to it. It definately should have been included on his solo record....

yeah I had a friend who really liked the song and she played for me over and over again- so I got used to it- it was nice but you can hear it wasn't 'polished up'
I do think it was re recorded for the box set- and the Piano really brings across the song, and I really like it now

Oh, I do prefer US to SITT though. So for me it's better than *almost* every song on SITT :P
