Just quickly re-listened to some versions since 2010. I had assumed baby because of the numbers of syllables I thought it made most sense. Now I think it's "or there when you were drown" (OEEEEIUUEEDAAAAUUN). It makes more sense lyrically than "baby" or simply "there"

Whilst you're obviously right Jon's way of pronouncing things has gotten progressively worse, if you type anything in English out phonetically it's going to look ****ing weird

By the "twitch", do you mean the maneuver where he kinda shakes the mic stand after delivering pretty much any slightly higher/stronger note?

No, the way his right eye has a twitch when he sings now. It's been noticeable for the last 3-4 years I'd say but seems to be getting worse.

'On A Night Like This' with the close up shots really made it look worse.
