Yeah...true...can be very wet and cold...but must be the hole in the ozone layer down here or something...we can have these days in June [not so much July] where it ought to be 14-16'c, and it gets to 22-23'c....was like that the day I took that photo....weird, but wonderful. I'm glad to hear you loved the city...a lot of people in other parts of the country give Adelaide a lot of stick..'hicksville' that sort of thing...but that's okay...Australia's best kept secret is SA and the city of Adelaide.

i've visited italy (and venice) twice. the first was for a jovi concert in padova and the second was last summer. we went from ancona to milan, then switzerland, germany, austria and last stop before ancona (to return to greece) was venice.

I didn't bother taking my camera out yesterday because it was dull out, so I just took a few random close ups last night when I was bored

Rakel 01-28-2006 03:09 PM

Thomas Anderson 01-29-2006 06:15 PM

I'm sure you'd take more if it weren't for wanting to go out and play in it :p hehe

Rakel 01-29-2006 06:21 PM

well i have to enjoy it, its the first time i see it and the first time to snow in lisbon in 52 years so i'll probably not see it again any time soon, unless the weather is so weird that it starts snowing regularly lol

Keeper 01-29-2006 10:06 PM

It's snowing here too. I don't think it'll stay, but it feels so good! :D

The snow here barely settled.

The temperatures here are a bit higher today, but not more than 10. This morning when I left home we were -3. They say Thursday they go down again :D

Rakel that's great, imagine all those kids in portugal who thought they'd never see snow in their country :) Enjoy it !!! Must be a real event at school and everywhere :D

Oh and this panoramic one too

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...02-08pano1.jpg

Thomas Anderson 02-08-2006 07:00 PM

I sometimes wish I could fly or something silly just to get a bit higher to take photo's. This one could have been really nice if I'd have been high enough not to have things in the way

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...6-02-08054.jpg

wolfgang 02-08-2006 08:25 PM

thomas

are your pictures altered in any way? like color enhancement or any type of photoshop? or do they just come out that good?

also, how do you get the light blurs at night?

Thomas Anderson 02-08-2006 08:36 PM

They are mostly un-altered, sometimes I might mess with the contrast/brightness or the colour levels if it isn't quite right though.

The night ones are using a long exposure, the lens is open for a long time so it picks up moving objects as blurred

Thomas Anderson 02-09-2006 05:06 PM

A few of my favourites from today:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...6-02-09062.jpg

Thomas Anderson 02-09-2006 05:09 PM

A couple of good panoramics:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...-02-09pan1.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...-02-09pan3.jpg

This is one of the widest panoramics I've attempted thus far. I took 4 shots from one side of the room and another 3 from the corner looking out to one side, so it is close to being 180°
