Rap Record Label Offers Ransom For Music Hard Drive in Stolen Car
Quote:
UPROXX: Quality Control Records...(is) the recording home of...The City Girls, Migos, Lil Baby, and Lil Yachty...
(QC's) CEO Pierre “Pee” Thomas...(wrote on) Instagram...
“Attention: Atlanta. Whoever just jumped in the Dodge Journey and stole the car at the Chevron on Northside Dr., that was my (studio) engineer’s car with an important hard drive in it. I know you just doing what you do and I’m not knocking your hustle, ’cause I used to steal cars in the ’90s. I have $20K(USD) cash money for the hard drive back.” While it’s certainly admirable that Pee is seemingly willing to forgive the slight transgression...I don’t know that paying off thieves is such a good precedent to set.
Update: Per the (Instagram) post from Pee...Hard Drives Secured. Thank You...Nuthin 2 Prove Album On The Way (from) Lil Yachty

Here's hoping that the car was worth LESS than $20K -- and that no one ended up needing any of their body parts "secured" at a hospital, LOL!!!
They need to call in a cyber security consultant and look into virtual private networks and/or private clouds. And there's bright side -- there could have been a baby in that car...
P.S. One of the two City Girls is in the midst of spending eighteen months in jail for credit card fraud. The other one has turned up pregnant.
