How did you like Barcelona? I've never been to Montserrat yet

I loved Barcelona :D! We were there for 5 days and it was perfect. I've been wanting to see the Gaudi buildings for so long now! Also I really enjoyed strolling through the streets of the gothic quarter, the food, the drinks... ;). Barcelona is a beautiful city, you're lucky to move over there in the near future :D!

Montserrat is quite nice as well! We didn't really go there for the monastry, but more for the walking/hiking tracks in the mountains. It was a nice change for the busy days we spent in Barcelona. Although the place seemed to be overcrowded with daytripping Spaniards, especially at the monastry! ;)

That's great! I'm really glad you liked it. I personally love Barcelona and the city centre with its gothic quarter is amazing. I'm thrilled at the thought of living there :D

Gaudi's buildings are simply amazing. My favourite is the Batlló House (the one where you took that picture of the ceiling lamp) - the inside is gorgeous and living there must have been great. The house by the Batlló House is also one of my favourite places. It's not by Gaudí but it's also Modernist in design. And they sell delicious chocolate inside since it used to belong to the family of a chocolatier.

Yes, I'd guessed Montserrat would have been crowded. It always is from what I've heard.

:D! Before I went to Barcelona I remembered there once was a topic on what sights were interesting over here on JT, so I looked for it and I think I came across one of your posts ;) - which was quite helpful! Barcelona is a beautiful city :)!

Yeah, think I started that thread before I went. It really is a beautiful city. Gaudi is a god.

I took this back in July last year; I took a burst of shots as I moved closer to it, and the last one was nice, but the top of the wing was cropped out. I had a mess about with it, and it's far from perfect, but I managed to copy the tip of the wing and patch the sky to complete the shot. I'm entering it into a local competition.
