Bon Jovi's single choice

So, in Europe the 2nd single is gonna be 'Welcome to wherever you are', and in the States it will be 'who says you can't go home'-both are bad choices.

The choice for the first single of an album is always good, and after that it's focked up! They should release 'Complicated'! I'm sure that these two singles they picked will do nothing special in the charts, and the album will go down more on the album chart!

Hey, but the setlist of the Des Moines show was good!

that has been discussed a million times before but there are people that like these two songs.
i don't and i agree they're bad choices, really bad.

I agree - Crap choices.

I Am, I Want To Be Loved, Complicated, Novocaine all would have made better singles.

Nothing new. Bon Jovi's been known to pick crap singles off the last few albums.

I don't know, "Who Says You Can't Go Home" will be absolutely huge in the States, I predict. It's a very radio-friendly song that the American audiences will eat up, and then you've got the country duet going out to a whole new market. Doing well at radio dosen't always equal an increase in album sales (eg Missunderstood) but I doubt that will be the case with this song.

As for "Welcome To Wherever You Are"........Could either be huge or an absolute disaster. I don't see a middle ground for this song and considering their dangerously fast slide off radar in the UK, I'm not sure this song is going to regain any of their popularity. Maybe I'm wrong because slower types of songs like this are in over here at the moment but GB&I audiences tend to be lot more cynical and don't go in for the whole "Everyone is perfect"/"God makes no mistakes" attitude. A song like "Novocaine", "Last Man Standing", "I Wanna Be Loved" or "I Am" would go down an absolute treat over here. Hopefully one of those will be released with the summer tour.

I think "welcome...." will be a great single..it´s a great midtempo song.
and "Who say´s..." is my favorite song on the album.
and yes...i´m a fan since 1990.

have a nice life

Welcome To Wherever You Are will go the same way as Misunderstood. An awful choice for a single. Who Says You Can't Go Home is a good choice. As has already been said, it's very catchy and very easy to listen to.

I heard "Welcome..." to day on the radio... it is indeed their worst release ever!

You guys sure make them out to be a bunch of !@#$ idiots. Just because we like a song (Novocaine) Doesn't mean it can get any radio play these days. Who Says is actually a great choice for the U.S., I think.

I don't agree with that.

Lie To Me, Misunderstood, Thank You For Loving Me, All About Loving You.
