Too think he's only 43 years old, he looks 10 years older in that photo. Still it's ALWAYS music that counts.

Wait a minute - do you guys tell your wives / girlfriends how to wear their hair? If not - why should they tell you how to wear (or not wear) a beard?

Maybe it's just me but I'd be pissed off if I was told something like that.

I give my opinion occasionally and she often asks me what I think.

It's like it's an order or that she'll leave me if I don't do as she wishes. It's more let's look like how I/she likes best, as long as I/she can live with it.

As long as it's mutual it's fine (not that I have any say in the matter :D). It just hit me as odd that a guy couldn't have a beard (or not) if he wanted to.

If I ever asked my husband's opinion on my hair, I think he would agree that I have hair - but that's about it. Maybe he would notice if I shaved it off but I think I would have to get that drastic before he would say something - or even notice. LOL.

I am in full agreement on Hetfield's beard making him look a lot older than he is though. God knows age takes it toll - no need to help it along any.

That cracked me up. And sometimes I think we're married to similar guys :) Though mine is bald - no saying in his hairdo whatsoever :D

Diplomacy... :)

Do you have this in Holland as we have in France: we don't say "being bald" but "letting your forehead grow". So you can have a say in his foreheaddo, like "I think you should wash it with a newer sponge".
