I'd put Hoobastank into the One Hit Wonder category. The Reason was their only big song. Also, the lead singer can't sing worth a shit live.

I agree that the reason was a HUGE hit for them, but crawling in the dark and running away from their first album were pretty big hits for them aswell.
And Same Direction did pretty well for them on the rock charts.

But about the statement that the singer can't sing live, I agree and that's really my main problem with them. Otherwise they're a good band imo.

I guess I'm still a sucker for these modern pop/rock ballads. Then again, I don't think I've so much as looked at their CD since this tread was started.

:) me too. They remind me of The calling, Daughtry, Nickleback etc.
