Saturday Night from HAND Bonus CD

I was wondering if anyone knows where the acoustic studio version of "Someday I'll Be Saturday Night" on the Have A Nice Day exclusive bonus CD is from. If it's from 1994, I would probably buy it, but if it's taken from somewhere like the 2002 AOL sessions, I won't bother.

Thanks.

Just off the top of my head, I think it was recorded in New York (Nokia Theatre???) in one of the promo shows for the release of HAND. That version of Saturday Night is beautiful. I remember them playing it in the same type of promo show in Amsterdam and being blown away by it. The also played it on Oprah and changed one of the lyrics and it was quite beautiful.

If I remember correctly, the This Left Feels Right bonus DVD (which was recorded in 2002), "Saturday Night" was performed in that style as well and I think it was the first time they started doing it that way.

It was also played similarly on This Left Feels Right Live and they obviously carried that version through to the Have a Nice Day Tour and maybe beyond for a while.

It's definitely not from any of the live versions, it's a studio version of the same slowed down acoustic version. It hasn't appeared anywhere else other than this CD, and there is no details on the sleeve where it was recorded, but it's definitely from around the time of the HAND release/recordings, not the 90s...

The Nokia Theatre version was released on the Welcome To Wherever You Are single.

IIRC That was the Target version, and it was in studio
the version of the HAND album that I have is the one with the 13. bonus track Dirty Little Secret and with the DVD, not the Target one

Some of these versions from that era were really magnificent. My favourite is the one for the victims of Hurricane Katrina where he altered a few lines as well:

That TLFR bonus DVD is pretty damn amazing, to be honest. Blood On Blood in particular sounds great, and you can tell they're having fun.

It is. I played that DVD a lot back then. I think even if you didn’t like This Left Feels Right, then that DVD was a redeeming feature.

I’ve obviously misread much of this thread as I was not aware of a studio recording of that version of “Saturday Night”. Might have to track that CD down.

EDIT - Here it is;

right!, I swear I listened that album only once in my entire life; so that DVD of the "Limited Edition" was good stuff to watch many times.
