Post your photographs

I know there is a thread for posting pictures of yourself, but something I think would be interesting is seeing ones everyone has taken.

I like taking photos and have thousands from just the past year, here are a few I took on Thursday evening:

Great shots. You seem to love skies just as much as I do :) I especially like the "orange" one.

Did you finally join Flickr?

Thomas Anderson 01-22-2006 07:02 PM

No I didn't join it, I tend to just share photos on forums I use and such

I have lots of shots of clouds and such, I always look outside at sunset to see if it is worth photographing, and it often is.

Took this morning as the sun was rising, it was taken on my phone so the quality isn't very good

Shouldn't this be in the picture forum?

Thomas Anderson 01-23-2006 09:03 PM

Well the picture forum is under the Bon Jovi section, so not really

Well, the pics of 'Jovitalkers' are in the same section, so why not?

Well photo's of members are at least perhaps related, photo's of fans, but not really ones we've taken. If people think it should be moved then by all means do it, but I just didn't think that, with it not being Jovi related, it should go in that section.

I don't have any of this sort, but i hope we will see more of yours and other jt'ers :)

This is one of my favourites, taken from the roof of our apartment building in Cyprus:

http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/1...50710p13uv.jpg

I edited this one properly at fullsize and had it printed 120 x 30cm/42 x 12in, still haven't found a frame big enough though.

jess 01-24-2006 10:00 AM

This is a good thread :) first one to open in the morning ! Good idea Neil.

Not predictable Sara but well ... i know you like that ;) So i was waiting ....

You know why i asked this Goose ? don't know if you know Charles de Gaulle airport but it looks so similar at this place i thought it might be CdG.

;) yeah I love good photographs - could be lost for hours on sites like http://www.terragalleria.com/ - a must-visit if you're into landscape photography and beautiful pics from all over the world in general :).

jess 01-24-2006 01:02 PM

I can't remember the name of a photographer who takes pictures of Africa (in general i think), there was a calendar end of this year .... can't find anything, can't remember the name of this man or woman :s Anyone knows ?

eriK 01-24-2006 02:22 PM

I can recomend Stephen Wong's webpage www.stephenwong.com, if any one is interested in underwater photos.

Do you know Dutch photographer Dos Winkel? He's an excellent underwaterphotographer as well and has some beautiful photo's in his portfolio. He has made 100's of very close up details of some of the most colourful fishes and anemones (sp?). On his site http://www.dos-bertie-winkel.com/en_index.html are some of the photo's.

For above water pics I really dig Yann Arthus-Bertrand work as well, I fell in love with it when I saw an exposition of his 'La terre vue du ciel' (sp?) (feel free to correct my spelling, Jess ;)) project, it's beautiful :).

I very well know your feeling :(... Takes *a lot* of practice and $$$ on good equipment though ;).

jess 01-24-2006 04:14 PM

I've got all the Yann Arthus Bertrand's books at home :) And La terre vue du ciel is just amazing !!!

Would you, jess, mind translating that for me? :)

Thomas Anderson 01-24-2006 06:48 PM

Got back in the mood for taking photos today, got 138 (so far), been trying some close-range shots, haven't done many before, in addition to the random cloud shots and such. Some of these are in Liverpool this morning, some near my house in one of the local parks, and then in and around my garden.
