If anyone has a presale code for New Jersey, it would be massively appreciated!

I didn't get my presale code until the night before tickets went on sale.

Through the Highway Companion club or the venue?

beler 03-05-2010 10:08 PM

Aerosmith 1st of July
Ticket about 62 euros...it´s more expensive than most of bands (except Bon Jovi:)) but I think it will be first and last chance to see them

The Conchords have today announced two additional shows: Manchester Apollo on May 8 and Wembley Arena on May 25. Tickets go on sale from 9am on Friday 12 March – but don’t expect them to last long.

The Petty tickets for MSG and IZOD don't go on sale until next Monday, but I'll be trying my ass off for them.

I am considerably less anxious about getting my Petty tickets today than I was a week ago. Couldn't help but do a "dry-run" and see what I would have been able to score for the shows that went on sale today. After six and a half hours on-sale, there's still no problem getting decent seats.

But still... it's gonna be a long wait.

Hopefully see you at the Izod (tell me you still call it Meadowlands in your head!).

The Meadowlands is the name of the SITE it's built on. The arena was originally called Brendan Byrne Arena (which is what I still tend to think of it as). It was named after the governor of NJ at the time it was built. Then it became Continental Airlines Arena when they sold the naming rights - and most recently it's now IZOD Arena.

Giants Stadium is on the same site - The Meadowlands. The new Stadium will be called The Meadowlands Stadium since the Giants and the Jets have both put up money for it.

Oh yeah - BTW - I just got tickets for the Conan show in June at Radio City Music Hall :D

C'monFeet 03-12-2010 07:11 PM

You going to TP?

There are presales for Petty, but the seats here in Atlanta are really crappy. I'm waiting for the public sale on Monday.

Honestly, I don't care where I'm sat as long as I'm in. It will be somethign ****ing special for me any which way.... (I had some pretty crappy 3rd-tier seats for Jovi at Giant's Stadium 2001, but christ, what an experience!)

Barring disaster, I will be very happy 3:00pm GMT on Monday.

It's a sad fact of life that we have to pay extra because the bands we want to see are playing in an arena named after a brand we don't give a **** about or want to spend any of our money on directly.

Please - don't even get me started on that subject. It's a very sore point with me. Next thing you know you can sell your ass and you will wear jeans with someone elses name on them........oh wait - that already happens :(

Well, 3 tickets were presents and the other 4 are either £85 or £113.

That's my favourite part of that song! I just love the way Petty sings it, and the folllowing line of course.

milomom 03-16-2010 01:34 PM

I got my Tom Petty ticket, too. :D

Yay!!! I'm still debating getting tickets for Darien Lake. Don't know if I should spend the money when it looks like I'm going back to school lol

Crushgen24/88 03-17-2010 03:38 AM

Add me to the Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers list. Got tickets for the MSG show in July.

hometownboy 03-19-2010 12:07 PM

Jackson Browne july 2nd, Liverpool.
I cant wait!

Ferret 03-25-2010 05:46 PM

Paul Weller in December at Wembley Arena. It's a long way away, but shit, it's Weller! Saw him last March and he was great.

Looking into buying some Stooges tickets (playing Raw Power in full!), and might be going to Reading too. Also gonna use my "connections" with the Royal Parks (aka my aunt works there :p) to blag a ticket to Paul McCartney, like I did last year with Neil & Bruce.

Missed out on Noel Gallagher tickets sadly, but could be a good year for gigs otherwise.

choclady 03-27-2010 03:17 PM

jamie lidell in may :D

SexxAtraxxion 03-27-2010 06:58 PM

I attended Sebastian Bach / Guns N' Roses last week.

Cool show, even if Axl appeared one hour later.

Best regards,
the Sexx

For the past...man, I dunno...perhaps 6 years now I've been meaning to check out their stuff. I only know of 3 songs and two of them are brilliant. The Logical Song and...shit I forget the other on, but it certainly wasn't that "dream" one.

C'monFeet 04-24-2010 06:51 PM

Levellers

The Wonderstuff

Becky 04-24-2010 07:29 PM

C'monFeet 05-04-2010 09:20 PM

Lucky bugger, he's one of the best comedians around today! That special he did on immigration for Channel 4 "Go Home" is classic, and of course, his cred is boosted infinitely by the fact he appeared on Newswipe.
