In And Out Of Love 9/10
Price Of Love, The 9/10
Only Lonely 9/10
King Of The Mountain 3/10 **
Silent Night 8/10
Tokyo Road 8/10
Hardest Part Is The Night, 10/10
Always Run To You 9/10
To The Fire 3/10 **
Secret Dreams 9/10

** these songs are the weakest by far as the chourus sound exatcly the same

i love this album - it sh1tes all over HAND, Crush, TLFR, Lost Highway

Uhm....

sure.

Actually, I think Fahrenheit does have some really decent songs. Hardest Part Is The Night and Silent Night being my particular favourites. It was Jon really coming into good songwriting form, but he hadn't yet quite found his style. Really, it's the production that makes the record sound worse than it is. The reason I think he hates it so much now though is more the whole bands image at the time rather than the actual album (and because it wasn't a hit like he hoped it would be)

I think the bad production was the real core problem with this album, aside from that it's a very enjoyable album. I liked the dark theme to it aswell and it has some of the best guitar work by Richie ever. For a long time my favourite track on it was Tokyo Road, but it wasn't untill I saw the "video" for Hardest Part Is The Night that I changed my mind. I like the lyrics and Jon's vocals are awesome.

I don't care weather Jon likes it or not, at the end of the day it doesn't matter. It's far from my favourite BJ album and I don't listen to it that often, but I'm glad it's there.

I love it.

'S not bad. The production is pretty awful though.

I have always loved 7800 and I think it's because that is the time I discovered the band. I listen to 7800 way more then I listen to SWW.

Yeah, how you experience the music can define what you think about it forever.

Although I don't think 7800 is in the same league as SWW ;)

For the time and the way it was done i thought it was well good.
My fav is Wanted though.

Well, the It's My Life video was actually pretty decent.

Other than that though, not really.

Really good album IMO

I may have made some *brief* notes on it elsewhere ...

7800 fahrenheit is a really good album, and i agree it's better than many of the later albums. Hardest Part Is The Night is one of the bands best songs ever, lyrically and musically. I didn't buy it till after Slippery, but i remember reading alot of people recognised Richies quality as a guitarist from the solo of this song. Silent Night is still one of the top five ballads by Bon Jovi. In And Out Of Love should have been a massive hit and was good enough to be on Crossroads. In fact i'm going to listen to it right now.

Lay Your Hands On Me? Bed Of Roses? Dry County? Hey God? HAND? Always? Born To Be My Baby? Runaway? (Alright, possibly its just me who likes that one .... )

born_to_run 12-08-2007 12:23 AM

basically it's just a great album not too many fillers (To the Fire) and the rest is quality. IAAOL deserves to be a live opener. Instead of this we get LH. Understand why that makes me angry listening to what they do right now? The difference in quality is thaaaaat biiiiggggggggg - unbelievable!
A shame that they ignore Fahhenheit as if it was never recorded!

Javier 12-08-2007 12:32 AM

It's been a loooooong while since I've listened to this one.

I do remember being a bit underwhelmed when listening to it, but I really should listen to the album again, it's been a long while.

Damn man!!!
you know, I'm curoius, when you say 'brief', did you mean your review or what you were wearing when you wrote it??

Dave 1986 12-08-2007 12:58 AM

Just going on the topic of videos, I personally think their 90's videos are generally better. And It's My Life has a cool vid.
