Songs Jon and Richie wrote that other people sang

I was watching a TV show on Cher's career. It got to the part where she sang We All Sleep Alone and I just about fell in the floor when the commentator said it was Jon and Richie that wrote that song. I really liked the song, but had no idea who wrote it when Cher first sang it.

Also I can't image any guys more unlikely to worry about sleeping alone than Jon or Richie ;)

Both Bon Jovi and Richie solo played it live as well in 1990 [emoji6]

Ahh that means you've never heard the Richie version! I love this version of the song!

Oh gee I could have easily done without hearing that woman singing! Richie was great. Also I had completely forgotten about Richie and Cher dating. I would have liked to have heard Cher singing with Richie. Since Jon can't sing any more I've been torturing myself by listening to songs on YouTube back when he could sing. I'm listening to Always right now. Why I'm torturing myself I have no idea!

Also I was wondering what other of Jon and Richie's songs had been done by other singers?

Seriously? Wow, ok. Crystal Taliefero has been backing singer to Billy Joel, Sprinsgsteen, etc. etc. I lover her voice and her and Richie sounded great together. She was his backing singer for both the Stranger and most of the Undiscovered Soul tours.

But each to their own...I think she sounds fabulous on this.

I'm suprised that people on this board have never heard this version before.

A couple more...

Loverboy - Notorious (not a great song!)
Alice Cooper - Hell is Living Without You (not a great song!)
Poets - Only Takes One To Say Goodbye (good song)
Next 100 Years was covered by a Japanese pop / boy band

Aldo Nova's "Blood on the Bricks" album was co-written by Jon. Okay album; not great.

There was also a glam metal act from the late 80s where the album had songs (co)written by JBJ, Rachel Bolan and who else. I forgot their name; I think something with "Sinner" in it? They're on Heavy Harmonies for sure, but finding them with that info is a bit tough. I'll check my hard drive when I get the chance.
