I remember watching that whole Songs & Visions concert, and being thrilled that Jon got by far the best reception from the crowd than any of the other performers.
It was so noticable that the noise levels went up several notches when Jon came on stage!

I really love how they did this cover back then, I also love the South-Africa concert a lot but everytime I see it I get really frustrated.
European & US first took all the black people to their countries (as slaves) nowadays most saying they have to go back where they coming from (=Africa) but also that is not their 'home' anymore. How the **** can Bon Jovi give a concert in Africa with only a dozen black people (and don't tell me its the taste of music!). In short first we took them to our continents, then we took their continent, now we want them to go back to their continents but that is impossible because that is already taken us (us as in white ppl)

Ok, you are right. I had no idea that there were just 2 Rock In Rio's (nevermind, the ones in the 2000s), I thought the festival happened every year. In any case, if you look at AAA, you'll see some footage from Rio where there's a huge poster with JBJ dressed as in the LYHOM video and on that poster you can read something related to Rock in Rio, unfortunately I can't watch the video right now, but that's what I remember.
