Problem here is whatever he sings it doesn't sound good. He has little choice but to pick a set list that is easier on him. That's why love's the only rule was dropped and the acoustic set, it's easier to mask his vocals with the full band playing. I've been fortunate to see them live every tour since 1996 and have seen some incredible performances and very rare songs. I think I'd rather remember them as they were..

Deep In The Setlist? What could Jon actually sing?
Not happening, but I wish that earlier rarities were reworked to fit the current band’s style and Jon’s voice limitations.
Like they did with Blaze in 2005, Santa Fe in 2010. Or We don’t run at the beginning of this tour. Songs that could get this treatment could be Silent night (again, I know it won’t happen), Without love or even Living in sin. |
What pisses me off is that Jon over the summer will probably do another cruise or something and at that show will play songs like Drive You Home, Fingerprints, Bells Of Freedom etc...

Next 100 Years
Sorely underrated song, and he can take a break and just dance around and smile while the band just jams out for the second half of song. Easy peasy |
Just struggle through the verses and playback every chorus, many songs become instantly available that way. We are well past the point of no return.
