I just can't work out if they use backing tracks for backing vocals or not. Their vocals sounds really perfect. And they like to mention it in every interview that it really is just them live. I'd understand if they used a backing track. But I don't think they'd put so much stress on not using it when they were using it. I'd expect them to shut up about it like Bon Jovi do. On the other hand, there obviously are many samples programmed or Rick's drumkit. There's a special setting for almost every song. They don't talk about THAT when it's obvious you need some tricks when your drummer has only one arm and your music relies on many sounds and drum patterns. |

The extra parts? Lots of unnecessary bits and bobs that could have and should have been simplified or played by the original band. Just look at Hook me Up live for example...Richie could have done both parts easily, but they preferred samples. Musically, it’s nothing Richie and David (+ Jon) couldn’t have sorted out. I think it’s down to laziness. |

Europe the band.
The same 5 guys since 1984 on stage (except Kee Marcello years) and they sound today better than ever. |

Jon said something about releasing a deluxe edition at Christmas, right? Maybe they will release Beautiful Drug as a single and broadcast that show they recorded, I hope that deluxe edition includes more bonus tracks. Special editions sell very well at Christmas. |
