Jacko set for o2 residency!
|
I gotta see this guy again :D
Was amazing last time around !! |
Aloha !
Last time he toured he mimed 99% of all he was supposed to sing. Will he make 100 this time? If tickets are £50.- I'm coming over to see him live just one time. They probably will be like £200,- because Jackson still feels he's worth it. Salaam Aleikum, Sebastiaan |
I'd imagine Madonna prices would be a pretty good guide - i think £75 to £200 for regular tickets, hospitality £god knows.
|
I believe they will be around £100 a ticket. They would easily sell out at this price despite the ongoing global recession. Shame, I would have liked to have gone also, but not at these prices. I'm sure Mo will get a ticket for each night :D I hope he does :)
|
I always said...always being 5 times I told friends and family last summer...that I'll see Michael Jackson next time he comes to the UK.
I'm going to break my own promise. Maybe if he wasn't going to mime I'd strongly think about it - but paying well over £100 (inc. food, travel, merchandise) just to see a crazy white/black/blite/whack guy dance isn't the sort of thing I'd like to spend money on. Of course, I'd like to be proven wrong. But if he doesn't mime then well...I'm gonna be pissed off and might not see him the following time around just because of it. |
The man looks like he can barely walk, letalone put on any type of show, miming or not.
|
OK, just got back from the Lainesborough Hotel.
Mannn, I'm ****IN' excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He gave us Pizza, we were chanting all day. The atmosphere was electric. Only thing that could beat this was Livin' On A Prayer at MSG 2005  Update: He's giving a Press Conference at The O2 on Thursday. At current, 10 Dates have been confirmed. I'm gonna get tix for all shows :) |
10? Awesome. I hope you have saved up! hehe
|
Aloha !

It was OK, I only had a few slices, as my mum would've killed me if I missed my dinner :D
|
Sorry, WHO gave you Pizza?
|
Michael did :)
Whenever fans are outside the hotels socialising with other fans (about the times when he was in his peak LOL) Michael orders Pizza from an outside outlet and gets them delivered to the fans. There are quite a few fans that come from abroad (and that has also been the case today). This has happened during his last 4 public visits in London (the last being the 2006 World Music Awards). The unfortunate thing is that the Pizzas are never from Pizza Hut  Today's Pizzas came from Dominos. |
£100 a ticket for a residency? what the ****?
Ticket's for Prince's residency were £32.50 for any seat in the house, and he delivered the most electrifying LIVE (no miming!) set i have ever witnessed. |
Firstly, nothing's been confirmed with regards to the pricing. Everything is all speculation for now.
Secondly, it's up to AEG to decide what price to sell the tickets for (which I believe was also the case when Bon Jovi opened the Arena 2 years ago). All Jacko has done is agreed to the terms and received his wage from AEG (for at least the 10 shows which will be announced....I'm sure the other 20 will follow shortly in the announcements). In the end, AEG decide what to charge fans. I'm sure Mike will make some kind of pre-sale arrangement for the fans. Any Pre-Sale codes, I'll keep yous posted  Evil-Mo :D ________________________________________________ Confirmation details on the Press-Conference: AEG Live is inviting you down to The O2 in London for a very special announcement from Michael Jackson. Did anyone get a Text Alert from O2 about a pre-sale code for tomorrow's Press-Conference?
|
Oh Mo, you're so cute when you talk about Michael Jackson!
|
Aloha !

I get them usually, and admittedly they give a lot out but i wouldn't have expected any for a big artist like Jacko (AC/DC didn't have an O2 specific pre-sale code, and neither did Prince) |
They did today, and that's the only way to get in
I ****in' hate AEG (and O2) (Excuse my French) I still love Michael  |
Circle July 9th as the day Michael Jackson takes the stage at the O2 Arena and tried to moonwalk back into our hearts.
Here are some of the details that will be revealed at tomorrow’s press conference in London for the Michael Jackson comeback concerts. The press conference, by the way, will begin at 4 p.m. in London and 11 a.m. in New York. It’s open to the public, which should be interesting: the promoters will be able to gauge interest in the shows by how many people show up tomorrow. Jackson will appear at the press conference and actually make a statement, I am told. The whole spectacle is supposed to be webcast on www.michaeljackson.com and www.michaeljacksonlive.com. Jackson’s first shows will be on July 9th and 10th at the O2 Arena. R&B superstar NeYo has already booked July 11th, so Jackson will skip that date. But after that, the rest of July is free on the O2 calendar. The first round of Jackson shows calls for 10—as this column has reported exclusively several times. The next eight shows will be scattered through the month. Sources inside AEG Live assure me that the tickets will be priced within reach. Of course, there will be VIP packages, and all sorts of things that could make individual tickets cost as much as $1,000. But those deals would include private sessions with Bubbles the Chimp, that sort of thing. (Just kidding!) |
any one else watch the lame press conference? cheesey video and he was onstage for all of two minutes.
anyway They will be his last shows (it was unclear to me wether he meant in general, or in London) There'll be 10 shows - beginning July 8th. Go to michaeljacksonlive.com and sign up for pre-sale, begins Wednesday March 11. Tickets go on general sale Friday 13th March at 7am. |
****ing hell, Michael Jackson fans are scary (sorry Mo!). Big, grown men weeping in desparate adulation at Mike's half-formed sentences. Seriously. Like teenage girls at a Beatles concert.
No actual dates and no ticket details though. And an hour and a half late. And bloody Dermot o'Leary hosting. |
NME says £50-£75
|
i think thats pretty reasonable to be honest! i quite fancy it but im gonna have to persuade my dad :p
|
Yeah. Whilst I'm quite tempted at that price, I can't see any of my friends thinking £90 (after fees) to see Michael Jackson is a good investment.
|
jesus christ the last decent thing he put out was close to 20 years ago.
it's beggars belief that this clown will shift 200k tickets at 60 odd quid but a fool and his money are soon parted i suppose. |
At least its is last shows then hes quittin, he obviously aint doin it for the love of music as so much to clear his debts. The bloke should of been locked up for what he did, all the evidence was there to send him down, but they bottled it cause of who he is. Bet Gary glitter is pissed off.
|
OK, just got back from The O2.
Firstly, I can confirm that there are 3 Price Ranges; £50, £65 & £75. Obviously, my assumption is that £75 are the best seats. I still believe that a further 20 dates will be announced in the future. My budget is only £500, so I'll just go with the flow and decide which dates I'm gonna attend. I'm not gonna attend all 30. And I won't be attending all 10 either if we only get 10 dates. Where he says "These will be my last shows in London".....take that with a pinch of salt. His spokesperson said in a Press Release a few weeks ago that he's gearing up for a world tour. Again, proof of how MJ's Team are so ****ed up that they continue to contradict a few things. Finally, Michael is a Prick.....he left his hotel at 4pm, and that was when the Press-Conference was meant to start. Meaning I had a more worse experience than 'BJ - Twickers 2008 Night 1' by standing for a total of 6 hours. All other details (inc. Pre-Release tickets) are available at: www.michaeljacksonlive.com |
Aloha !
Cool stuff Mo. There's another rumour going; he'll do a cover of the Elton John song "Don't Let Your Son Go Down On Me". Is that true? Salaam Aleikum, Sebastiaan |

You just make sure you and your mate can do that favour I've asked :) |
Did anyone watch GMTV this morning? His unnoficial biographer slated him, saying stuff like 'don't pay the prcies as he may not turn up to the shows' and 'the man is in very poor health'. My word. :|
Some of the prices that have been banded about today are disgusting, £15000 for the best seats? No way! I would like to go and see him as I am a fan of his music but I don't like the man TBH. Not gonna get into that though. |

Unless they're talking about VIP seats, which fans aren't too much bothered about. But like I said before, tickets are priced from £50-£75. My prediction is that MJ negotiated with AEG to make them cheaper than expected for the fans. I would love to see Madonna do that :D |
Aloha !

Plus if this is his last time london their gonna want 10 sell out nights, i doubt at the moment people could afford the £100+ tickets (especially when you have to buy more than one) but £50,£65 or £75 is really reasonable so i bet more people will go on that basis alone. It's a bargain!

I just don't see the fuss in going to see someone who just mimes for a lot of money. I know it's Michael Jackson and it could be the last time people go and see him, but he can't move like he used too and he can't sing now. It's just my opinion but i think it's a waste. |
