Secret Dreams.... so underrated
This is such an awesome song. I've searched but can't find any live performances. Have they ever played this live?

Pretty good song; I remember liking it a lot when I first got the album. Does anybody know who Bill Grabowski is?
|
It is also one of my favourite Jovi songs, unfortunately it never had a live performance as far as I know. But we still have no setlist info on Sapporo 1985 :D

I love it! I believe that with better production, it would be a great song (that actually applies to the whole album). Another weird track I love is Price Of Love, dunno why, I just do.

A treasure. Such an underrated album, love the riffs and guitar work, Jon's passion singing every damn song with that great energy all over the record.

The Hardest Part Is The Night is another gem. That album was pretty awesome. I wish they would have played more of those earlier songs over the years.

True! Actually strong part c on price of love too! The one before solo starting with drums+gtr only! I always cherish how masterfully prayer is crafted! Its got evrything and to me its maybe the best song of the 80s altogether! Every part, every note, every instrument is perfect! Talk about perfect production! And Sambora plays Hugh`s bass line as guitar solo -> brilliant!! |

On the other hand, the mention of telephone calls seems super early 80s. Seemed to be a hip thing to mention back then. It's fun! |
Interesting song and pretty great one. First, Tico as a songwriter and second, who is Bill Grabowski? I've tried to do some research about that guy but can't find anything.
Here's a Tico quote from 1986, talking about the creation of the song. https://i.ibb.co/CKwXWy7/rsz-1sk-rma...-kl-220404.png |

"Bill graduated from West Chester University, taught music, and shared an apartment with Jon Bon Jovi while living in New York City. During that period he collaborated with Bon Jovi on several songs and has gold-record award (on the walls of the recording studio he operates in Brownstown, PA) for 7800° Fahrenheit. He was also Grammy-nominated for arranging and producing "Send Her Roses" by The Jan Lewan Band. LegitSound Studio is his full-time business today." As far as I can tell, the LegitSound Studio may no longer be in business. |

Something very fun about Tico's only two inclusions having the word "Dream" in the song titles.

The whole album was a mess from the very beginning. In addition, T has a song that he wrote with Franke and the Knockouts that I cannot recall at this point. The album is solid for me, and most of the songs are really good, so I'm not sure why Jon keeps it hidden. Tico appears to be on background vocals on all songs from the album credits. |

https://www.udiscovermusic.com/stori...renheit-album/ This is what Jon said about the album later. I found it strange that in this article Richie is referred to as a "Guitar figurehead". The article is current (2022), but what Jon said about the album was from 1996. I figure the feeling about the album was because the record company had the band under pressure. Also it was an album before "The Album". |

I posted something similar years ago. Those first two albums don't nearly get as much credit as they deserve for whatever reasons. Jon's vocals alone ar worthy enough not to mention the killer guitars, catchy hooks and melodies. Sent from my SM-A015V using Tapatalk |
