New Ozzy Osbourne Album???

Ozzy Osbourne is asking his fans to help him unveil the cover art for the rocker’s latest project.

“CALLING ALL FANS!," began the message on Ozzy's Facebook page. "Help unscramble Ozzy’s new cover art by using the hashtag #OzzyRules on Facebook and Twitter. The more you share the sooner it unlocks. GO!”

You can see the progress and learn more info here: smarturl.it/OZZYteaser

Details regarding the project are unknown at press time, but there is speculation amongst media and fans that the cover is for the follow-up to Ozzy’s last solo release, 2010’s “Scream.”

The first link is to the unscrambled album cover, it's 94% unscrambled already and it's titled Memoirs of a Madman. I hope its a new album, I know 13 was really popular, but I actually enjoy Ozzy's solo work to Black Sabbath.

There’s definitely no shortage of Ozzy Osbourne compilations, but if you don’t already own one, you might want to wait a little while before making the investment. His latest solo career-spanning collection, ‘Memoirs of a Madman,’ is right around the corner.

Due Oct. 10, ‘Memoirs’ bundles together 17 of Osbourne’s biggest solo hits on a single CD. As tends to be the case with many major releases these days, it’ll also be available on vinyl, with the songs spread out over two LPs (offered on standard 180-gram pressings or special edition picture discs). The CD arrives alongside a double-DVD set — also titled ‘Memoirs of a Madman’ — that includes a hefty array of music videos, unreleased and out-of-print live performances, and interview clips.

Osbourne announced ‘Memoirs’ via social media campaign, asking fans to “help unscramble Ozzy’s new cover art by using the hashtag #OzzyRules on Facebook and Twitter. The more you share the sooner it unlocks.” As you can see here, the response was fairly swift — and now the project’s label, the Sony-distributed Legacy imprint, has taken things the rest of the way, unveiling the complete track listing for the CD and the DVDs. Check it out below, and decide whether you’ll be making room on your shelf for ‘Memoirs of a Madman’ when it shows up in stores this fall.

Another compilation??!?!?!?! And it's not a good one because it doesn't have Shot In The Dark.

I'm with you! I adored 13, a very pleasant surprise that hit number one on the rock charts -- why not follow it up with additional original material? Also, 13 is barely a year old: If they were going to put out a compilation, waiting for the holiday season toward the end of the year would have been a smarter move.

But it isn't as though Ozzy is calling the shots -- apparently, he's still so loopy that he's kept outside of his own loop. Here's some whining he did about 13 producer Rick Rubin picking drummer Brad Wilk over his choice Tommy Clufetos:
"The way it was dealt with wasn't very fair on Tommy. Rick Rubin just didn't want to work with him for reasons I don't know. He's a great drummer, and he's been with me for awhile now and I just felt that nobody discussed the decision...to me... Tommy was promised the album... It's not because he was my drummer and my ego wanted him. It was just the fact the way it was dealt with. It just got me a bit...pissed off... I don't have anything bad to say (about Wilk)...(but) I don't know what the problem was."
Sounds like Ozzy promised the album gig to Clufetos without clearing it with Geezer Butler and Tony Iommi first. But if that was the "problem", they should have settled it among themselves rather than by secretly conspiring with the producer. And then everybody turns around and decides that Clufetos is good enough to be Sabbath's TOURING drummer???

The three of them should have told Rubin: "If we decide that Animal from The Muppet Show should be our drummer, you find a way to work with him AND find a way to enjoy it -- or WE find ourselves ANOTHER producer!"
