One for the Queen fans out there

Ok, I’m not usually one to set much store by CNN but what if this turns out to be true:

Ok, you can never replace Freddie, but I’ll be there none the less.

Sorry if this is old news, it's the first time I've seen it!

This is new news. It was only revealed yeterday. I think its a great idea the boys will be getting back together as a kind of farewell tour even if it is without the late Freddie Mercury.

Yeah, I saw this yesterday on the Queen website and I got a mail from the fanclub saying it was true. Still don't really know what to think about this all. I guess on the one hand it is great news.. but it isn't Queen!! Queen is Freddie, Brian, Roger and John.. doesn't look like John will take part so then it just seems to be Brian and Roger cashing in on the Queen name. I also have no idea who this Paul Rodgers is!! Apparently he was quite big.. Anyway, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

It's not Queen without Freddie's voice. But I would go see them if they were in the area.

I'm sure you know "Shooting Star" and "All Right Now". Possibly "Feel Like Makin Love" and "The Wishing Well". He's got a great voice.

Aloha !

Paul Rodgers has got a very good voice. I've veen him live on the Arrow Rock Festival last year together with Tom and Laura and he was in good shape.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

From all those I know All Right Now... still couldn't say if his voice was great though...

Cheers for keeping me right Kev/Tash … I hear what you are saying about Freddie… but tell me you won’t be first in line to try and get a ticket?!

I’ll bet they’ll be like gold dust though … and they could practically name a price. Hope they can persuade John back... that would be amazing.

He seems like one of the only guys who could fit the role. A great frontman with an ace voice, even after so many years. Of course nothing will beat Freddie, but people have got to see past that and enjoy a new Queen. I'm sure it'll be a great tour.

What was that awards show that I watched with Queen and Rodgers performing something...?

Rashbaum 12-15-2004 05:39 PM

That'll be the UK Hall of Fame awards... although he also teamed up with just Brian at the Fender Strat 50th Anniversary gig. Looks like the Uk awards show gig is on again on E4 on dec 21st if anyone missed it.
