Real Life: Album Version & Radio Mix??!
 

Lately I bought the promo single which features the album version and the radio mix. But I didn't notice a single difference. Even with my headphones. I'm confused. Or deaf.

No difference between the two, although I think the "Album version" should have been the one that eventually made the boxset with the extended ending

Your'e not deaf. Like Bounce 7800 said, they sound identical.

Technically, there's 4 versions of this song. The original, the radio mix, the instrumental and the box set version. The original and the radio mix are pretty close to each other, I only hear a bit of a warmer mix in the radio version and the addition of some piano, not by Dave obviously.

As to the box set version, I will never understand it. They use a different vocal take completely, take out some backing vocals, add a guitar and either drop it half a key or raise it, I can't remember. Personally, I think the box set remix ruined the song but meh. I did like how they incorperated the string outro that was in the instrumental version though.

I have a promo single of Lie to me with 3 different 'mixes' on it and they ALL sound exactly the same. Dunno what theyr at!

I have a promo of Lie to me that has an 'ac mix' which is definately a different mix, even down to the guitar solo being replaced by a keyboard/organ solo! But then there's the 'ac mix' of this 'aint a love song' which is identical to the album version.
