Phil X will not do much on the new BJ album, and I think J Shanks will have a more important weight on the guitar, at least on the studio album.

Time will tell. So far Phil has done all the solos and has been tracking guitars with John. As far as this weird universe goes, this is the best of the outcomes I guess.

A song about military women....hahahahaha. What’s next, a ditty about a guy who runs a fruit and veg stall?

What was the last great guitar riff they wrote/recorded?

People that are expecting the sound to be different just because Phil is recording on every song only need to remember that he played (and did the solos) and sang backing vocals on Walls and When we were us. If the sound changes it's because Jon wanted it to change.....

probably HAND and Last Man Standing.

It's all subjective. I thought there was a handful of decent riffs on THINFS but people are stubborn and if it doesn't fit their view it doesn't count.

Fully expect this to be THINFS pt 2

Think so too, even more bc not much has changed since then, if anything

Phil's inclusion of playing on the whole album is a great example of things changing that people don't include because (see above).

I'm still hesistant to see whether his inclusion is only "technical" or if it helps make the sound more varied and interesting. Especially in terms of guitar playing that'd be desperately needed.
