Motley Crue Farewell Tour (w. special guest Alice Cooper)

Seems like it's all over. Shame really as I think they still had good music in them. But yeah - maybe it's a bit like the final tour of the Scorpions - going on for 5 years now.

Anyhow - hope to catch them somewhere. Am sure to enjoy the Alice Cooper if nothing else!

Just caught the back half of the live press conference. If there's a band that knows how to create fanfare, it's Crue. #RIPMotleyCrue has been trending on Twitter. Seems backwards however that they're figurative demise is being hailed as "the biggest announcement of their career." I also have trouble believing this will be it, especially considering their penchant for touring. Saw them in 2011 and 2012. I have minimal recollection of their 2011 performance however. Twas smashed. I certainly look forward to seeing them out on the road again!

Good riddance. The only Crue songs I ever liked were Dr. Feelgood and Kickstart My Heart -- the first time I heard it, I actually called the radio station and said, "Was that Motley Crue? It can't be -- it's too good!" Maybe that's because Bob Rock produced the album, LOL!

Announcing it as a farewell tour is more likely to get people to buy tickets. They played here a few years ago. Eight people showed up.

Kickstart My Heart is probably in my top-10 80's rock songs. And I was hoping this announcement would include the recording of a final album which they've talked about on and off for the past couple years. I was pleasantly surprised by 08's Saint's Of Los Angeles. I thought it would suck but there are several killer tracks. And last 2 times Crue came though Buffalo they played to healthy crowds. Not sellouts, but seemingly close in venue w/ 21,000 capacity. Of course they were w/ KISS in 2012 and Poison in 2011. Alice Cooper is a big name as well.

Man, we bitch about Jon's voice: not that I didn't know it already but their performance on Kimmel showed just how beyond shot Vince's voice is. Good thing everyone knows the words and I'm usually drunk at their shows.

Huh? 8 people? Obviously, it must not have been announced. They're not huge anymore, but come on, 8 people?

They signed a legally binding termination of touring agreement. It's not BS.

They always either sell out or come close to selling out in my neck of the woods. It's always a fun show, can't wait for this tour. I am beyond shocked though that their M&G pkg is $4000!!! Just crazy! But I was able to get a great ticket only, within the first 20 rows, this morning at a reasonable price.

Legally binding as in they'll face legal action if they go on tour again?

I take it you skipped class the day they covered hyperbole.
