Does anybody have a recording of the first time this was played?

Somebody said they played it in Dec 1985, but I can't find confirmation anywhere?

According to setlistfm it was first played on November 7, 1986 at St George's Hall, Bradford, England which would fit in with being released as a single on 30th October.

That's bullshit, the song most likely wasn't even written in 1985 yet.

The first show it was performed at was in Bradford, UK on Nov 7 1986, but they actually played it in Newcastle for a TV show (The Tube) a few hours before the Bradford gig, so technically that's the first. :)
