News About: World Tour 2022/23 & New Album

Let's share together all the information we have about the next Bon Jovi tour and album or if we don't have any, what we expect about them.

I personally think the next tour is going to held in the summer of '22, but I won't think it will be something big. Maybe around 15 U.S. shows to celebrate the returning of the live music and setlist that will contains all the big hits and 2-3 songs from "2020".

About the record, I think the band will comeback to the usual schedule of big album and tour in 2023. Maybe will release the album in the spring and then to go on 2 years world tour.

Let's hope Jon will give some information about these topics on the "Runaway Tours" in Miami at the end of the month.

That's what passes for 'news' these days.

Bon Jovi is right now in studio!

Phil just posted 2 pics on his IG. I think it's a recording session.

How do you know is a recording session? It could be rehearsals for a live performance.

Captain_jovi 10-17-2021 08:52 PM

I also think that studio space was dismantled and outdated. Odds are its for his rehearsal.

bonjovi90 10-17-2021 09:04 PM

I also think Jon had mentioned at one point that his home studio was too expensive to keep it technically updated and that most of the professional recording gear had been sold off. So yeah, probably rehearsals. After all, they did have a cancelled tour last year that they may wanna pick up someday (though maybe under a different name). If Bryan Adams will still be onboard?

Bryan has just announced a new album for next year, so I would think that he would be absolutely on board for this!

His new tour starts right in January, I'd love if it mixed with Bon Jovi's next one...

About the studio, yeah, it's a rehearsal that they're doing, and songs like God Bless This Mess, In These Arm's, I'll Be There For You and a lot of one's from 2020 are on the masterlist.

Plot twist - Bon Jovi going on tour with Bryan Adams as his opening act

PanosBonJovi 10-18-2021 04:33 PM

There will be a tour in 2022. Yesterday's rehearse was the beginning. Jon is teasing it through his tweets (first one was on Oct. 2). I'd expect an announcement late Oct, mid November as usual.

Regards

I think it’s strange that they are rehearsing in October for a tour that is literally months away and hasn’t even been announced yet.

You hear the way Jon's been singing lately?

You mean "singing" "lately" ;)

...are you suggesting they are currently recording backing tracks for Jon's "live" vocals? Because just rehearsing for months won't fix his vocal problems.

Naw I'm not, I'm just not understanding how we knock him for not caring about the music but also for rehearsing too early. No way will the rehearsing improve his voice but I'm happy they're together and at least working things out versus not. His voice is gone, I've accepted it.

Tour announcement is a matter of when, not if. Now as to why they rehearse so soon, that, I can't answer it as I have no clue :D

I betting on a surprise show at Runaway Tours or a Christmas Concert lol.

But God knows, just wish they put out a single yet this year... It seems like everybody is releasing a new work but Bon Jovi :/

Faceman 10-19-2021 03:50 PM

I don't understand why some of you think it's strange that they are rehearsing.
Music is their job, it's their profession. As a professional musician rehearsals are the most important part.
It was rather strange that up until 2005 Jon bragged about not rehearsing at all. 1) I never believed him because especially on that level you have to rehearse to put on a great show 2) With Jon being that workaholic-perfectionist, such a behaviour would have been more than nonprofessional.
So using the time for rehearsals while not on tour is the best they can do. No matter when a new tour will start.

Captain_jovi 10-19-2021 06:01 PM

Yeah agreed with the above. There's rumours of a new single to promote the tour. I'll give Jon shit for a lot of things but getting the band together to work on stuff ahead of time should make us happy, not snarky.

This! We gave him a lot of shit to eat for not caring while being off tour and always "having a cold" when they did one-off shows or just started a tour and he wasn't able to sing in key. So to me it's a good thing when he changed that.

PanosBonJovi 10-19-2021 08:17 PM

I don't know about new work as they never played 2020 in a stadium before and Jon's Oct.2 tweet specifically mentioned "cant wait to play this album in a stadium".

There will be a tour in 2022. If there will be new work, no clue.

Of course, but I don't see them hitting the road promoting an album this old. We know there are some new songs in the can, prolly not a new album but will they release a stand alone EP, just a new single or an expanded 2020 retitled 2022? Who knows.

If we can't get a new album, I like the idea of expanding the 2020 album with a second disc *plus songs. It would be great 2020 reissue with 20 tracks. And if not, then an Ep with 5 - 6 songs would be fine too.

But I think these rehearsals with the band will be for a live performance on TV and radio, maybe a promo show with the public this time.

Xavi 10-20-2021 12:14 AM

Every band in the world needs to rehearse.
Theres nothing more to say.
Its just the band rehearshing.

steel_horse75 10-20-2021 08:50 AM

I’m in no rush for a new album after the last 2 and I’ve retired from seeing them live.
Investing my money in pub and new bands.

I really hope if they do release something it’s just a great rock song making full use of Phil X but I just cannot see that happening anymore.

The Drills just cancelled their UK 2022 tour in January "due to covid 19 travel restricitons", clearing up Phil X's schedule (Jan 23-Feb 4).

I expect a Bon Jovi North America tour starting late January, early February to European leg starting in May as usual?

We shall see.

No idea, tour is happening though, it's been already booked.

Thinny 10-20-2021 11:50 AM

Surely a tour starting in January is too soon. It's already nearing the end of October. That leaves no real time to sell tickets.

I don't see them coming to Europe that soon either.

Tico said the next tour will kick off during next Northern Summer, so expect something around May/June.

blazeofglory 10-20-2021 02:05 PM

I don’t think they’re gonna tour North America and Europe in one go without much of a break in between. Jon has said so many times that he doesn’t like touring and being on the road for long periods of time anymore, so I’m assuming they’re gonna split it up more like they did with the THINFS tour.

I’d say they’re probably gonna start with a North American tour next year (although wishful thinking tells me they’re actually gonna start in Europe [emoji23]) and then come to Europe the year after. Maybe they’ll also play South America next year in combination with the North American leg and then Australia and Japan in combination with the European leg (or the other way round).

I think the pandemic is going to change what he prefers to do. We're going to hit the point where there's 2 years of backed up tours, shows and events all fighting for the same venues plus coordinating with sports events. I think you're right, I don't think he'll do NA and Europe back to back but it could even be further apart. 2022 one, 2023 the other.

YOVANAfromPeru 10-21-2021 04:59 AM

They HAVE to rehearse 'cause 2020's songs are very forgettable.

Agree. No one in stadium wants to hear very much of 2020.
I guess let it rain, brothers in arms and maybe limitless would be ok but they are still sub standard songs.

Can you imagine set with Do what you can, who says and capt crash ….yikes.

The could do Europe + South America during May to September. Rock In Rio isn't announced yet and many Brazilians on Twitter are speculating around that (from what I read)

Can't disclose that, unless we see an announcement I could be talking non sense. So let me completely delete what I said and pretend I never did :D

Let's see what comes next.

Well, I have mixed feelings about this, I always like that a tour is done respecting the songs of a new release, because it breaks the monotony. However, this album has songs that I love, and others that I don't care about. It all depends on which songs are included.

I have no problems with Limitless for example, and I understand that they have to play it, because it is the most representative single so far.

If Jon adds songs like Blood In The Water, Beautiful Drug, Luv Can, Brothers In Arms and alternates some songs with American Reckoning / Story Of Love, it could be interesting. I am very curious to discover what they sound like in a Stadium or Arena, since the environment can benefit him and they could surprise you with some memorable performance.

PanosBonJovi 10-21-2021 11:56 AM

BTW, I'd like to mention that on Bon Jovi's Spotify page, on Oct. 10 had this added.

http://imgur.com/yTHNrhX

Now obviously this is a mistake as it refers to the 2019 tour (same lineup) but that wasn't there on Oct. 9 and it's not today either, so I'd assume somebody was modifying some lists over there.
