Why? What happened to Phil in the last couple of years? Did I miss something!?

Sorry, didn't mean it to sound like a Phil specific thing. More generally, for any working musician not a multimillionaire, it's been a rough few years with touring costs and revenue minimizing. Not to mention session work has been getting more and more on the really cheap side for about 10 or 12 years now. And with the mental health in decline the way it has been, especially for people with jobs that aren't steady or normal. I've been reading a lot about mental health within the music industry so that's fresh on my mind, sorry for any confusion....

That's not Phil in the video though - that's Howie Simon.

The lighting was really bad in the video, but when I first saw it and posted it I honestly thought it was Phil. I had never heard of Howie Simon so I looked him up. A close up picture of him other than the hair doesn't look all that much like Phil, but I saw other darker pictures of Howie that I could have again believed it was Phil. Also Phil does know Nelson and they had talked of working with him. I guess I should have looked for Phil's tattoos?

Howie does seems to know his way around a guitar.

Random but cool.

"Duran Duran's Andy Taylor and other leading musicians will raise money for a cancer charity at a concert next month.

He will join Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin, Andrew Ridgeley of Wham!, David Palmer of ABC, Ella Henderson and guitarist Phil X."

I'm always glad when charity events are held.

Great interview with Phil. Will edit if anything interesting comes up but he ain't on salary with the band which both....surprises me and does not.

Pre-production for the new album was in Jersey, whole band playing/fleshing out the songs in the same room and then off to Nashville to record for a month.
