Most obscure Bon Jovi song you've heard on the radio
As the thread title suggests, what's the most obscure BJ song you've heard on the radio?
Obviously excluding live recordings or songs that were played at a time when they may have been a single. Just a song that's completely taken you by surprise that it's been played. '99 In The Shade' would be mine. Sent from my ELE-L09 using Tapatalk |
The Hardest Part Is The Night and I’d Die For You.

Long time ago... I don't listen radio now.
It was Two Story Town. It was around Crush era, so not too shocking. But it was so nice to listen that one -_- |
I don't really listen to the radio for the past 15+ years but I do remember hearing Santa Fe once and being really surprised they were playing that one....

Work for the Working Man... the DJ played a few of the songs for a special segment when The Circle was released.

I thought we had a thread for this..

I heard Born to Be My Baby once (and only once) on the sound system in my local supermarket. I was shocked LOL
They play some real music (as opposed to Musak) but it tends to be soft, easy listening type of stuff. Simon and Garfunkel gets played. I have heard some Barenaked Ladies. I never expected to hear Bon Jovi. |
Edge of a Broken Heart on a local station.

Tokoyo Road for me on Classic Rock!

This House is not for sale at our local supermarket in Spain.
99’9% of the time they put awful Reggaeton music on, so I was pleasantly surprised. I asked the lady at the counter who had put the music on and she said ‘the company sent it to us, I’ve got a terrible headache, it’s awful’ 😹😹 |

Your presence is very welcome around these parts Becky :)

Do What You Can just got played on the local radio station. God only knows what made the programming director pick that one up, it's never played even on the national bigger radio channels...
I also remember hearing Saturday Night Gave Me Sunday Morning on another channel some time ago, and Limitless (although it was a single, it didn't have any real radio potential) got played surprisingly much last year. Superman Tonight has been played every now and then as well. |
Everyday gets a play or two on Planet Rock every now and then which always puts a smile on my face. One of the stronger post-2000 singles I think looking back.

Back in 2011 when we were on party vacation in Bulgaria, there more or less was modern dance and house music on all day in the hotel.
One day, as we went in to eat, all of a sudden Brokenpromiseland came on! Two days later, it was Last Cigarette. Turns out that the guy programming the playlist was a huge Bon Jovi fan and snuck a rare track in every now and then :D |
I heard The Last Night on the station our mall plays over PA a long time ago.
|
Back in 2010/2011 our rock station used to play Hard Times Come Easy everyday at 4 PM. I never heard another Richie song on radio after that era.
|
I legitimately almost shat myself when Roulette just got played on South Dakota's Badlands radio channel. (Yes, I'm listening to that via internet right now!) :D

Raise your hands.
It was in 2001, and I still was getting to know the band, and that very day they were doing a show in Mexico City, where I live. I think that moment was when I became a fan, even if it would take me another 9 years to finally see them live. Enviado desde mi iPad utilizando Tapatalk |
Also, this is not about radio, but zapping channels, once I found out that an old telenovela (around 1990-91) used both Breakout and Love Lies as club music.
It was… weird. Enviado desde mi iPad utilizando Tapatalk |
Was walking round a supermarket about 10 years ago and they were playing Mona Lisa.
They staff were all singing it as well as they had played so much. Honest. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
