Hozier
 

Anyone like this guy? I've seen him live, got his album and basically obsessed over him since around January/February. He's a little bit different to what's dominating the charts right now in my opinion, but he can really write a good song. 'Take Me To Church' is what he is famed for, and while a tremendous song, there is definitely a few better on the album. Also, he comes across as a genuine, nice guy.

I thought they were a band though...is it a "The Streets" kinda thing with him?

Hozier is the name of the guy and he has a back-up band (I don't know if it has a steady line-up), "Hozier" is not like "Bon Jovi", the media don't say "the band called Hozier" but "Hozier, the singer songwriter".

I loved his gig at Coachella (idk if it's online, I watched the live streaming during the festival) and I love his duet with Annie Lennox (but I love Annie so I'm biased!). He's got a powerful soul voice, clever lyrics and good music to go with. It's very refreshing to see that there's still a place for talented artists who are different from the mainstream prefab/manufactured music heard on the radio/TV.

'Just purchased tickets to go and see him live again! I can't wait. I think 'From Eden' is by far and away his best track if you haven't heard it :)
