Saw Bruno Mars in Amsterdam yesterday and had a huge blast. The dude is ****ing legit!

Firstly, I've seen some great singers live (Kelly Clarkson, Steven Tyler, Chester Bennington to name a few), but yesterday I witnessed the best vocal performance. He didn't ditch a single high note in any of his songs, and even added some extra ones on some.

Secondly, on a scale of 10, I give his band 11. Not only do they sound so well, but their look and dance moves are so cool. They just look like a gang on stage, not just a bunch of hired musicians.

Thirdly, I didn't realize how great of a dancer he actually is, cause he doesn't relly on it as much as some other popstars, but really has great moves. The guy can do anything, fantastic singer and songwriter and a great dancer too.

So yeah, the guy is the closest thing we have to Michael Jackson and I was really glad to have a chance to see such a big star at the height of his popularity. Go and see him if you have a chance. It's a pop show, but a damn great one!

Pat Travers. Was good fun...even if I ended up without a phone at the end of the night...and I so miss my Galaxy S4 now................

Thinking about buying tickets to see Michael Buble for my girl for Xmas considering I've dragged her along to mine. Anyone seen him live?

bonjovi821 10-29-2013 02:10 AM

Alice Cooper's Christmas Pudding. Including Alice Cooper, KISS, Vince Neil, and some other people I don't quite care about.

DevilsSon 10-29-2013 02:08 PM

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds last night. No wonder Rolling Stone magazine has them in the top 10 of acts to see. He was fabulous. Some of the songs were performed at such intensity that I thought a train is running me over. Incredible.

Only problem, the highlight of the show was the second song in the set. Jubilee Street. That was surreal, never seen anything like that in my life. After two songs I was thinking this was going to be the best gig I have ever attended. I think it just so happened that they completely let loose on that song and even if subsequently they were very energetic, it never matched the same levels of intensity.

But once again, one of the most amazing live experiences you can have. Almost religious at times...

Skid Row with Ugly Kid Joe
Versus The World with Templeton Pek
Papa Roach

Gonna be a busy November.

DevilsSon 11-05-2013 09:08 PM

Paradise Lost with Lacuna Coil and Katatonia

Paradise Lost is such a kick ass band. I think they even opened for Bon Jovi in 1996 (Budapest if I am not mistaken)...right. In any case - they are such an amazing band. Made it through the moshpit straight to 2nd row. Lots of fun.

Panda 11-05-2013 10:11 PM

Jon Bryant - a really good folk musician. This will be my second time seeing him. Check him out if you want some new good tunes.

Jim Bon Jovi 11-06-2013 01:04 AM

Travis.

I'd be lying if I said my senses and thought process weren't slightly numbed when I booked them on Saturday night :D

Not bought an album of there's for years but I used to be a big fan and saw them a few times back in the day so I'm quite excited about reliving my misspent youth.

Gig is the Saturday before Christmas so everyone will be right up for a party too :D

Pearl Jam

Just got home and my mind is blown. I have seen the twice over the last 13 years and one Vedder solo show, and tonight was the best (mainly because they weren't touring on Riat Act). How can a set list change so much from night to night? How can they play Satan's Bed and not Better Man or Corduroy. Porch and not Alive. I'm in no way complaining... I loved not knowing what to expect... I loved every minute of it.

So far this year Pearl Jam, Paul McCartney, and Aerosmith have exceeded my expectations. Great shows.

Panda 11-18-2013 09:27 PM

I'm pretty sure Alive has been played at almost every Pearl Jam show. But yeah, they set the bar when it comes to mixing up setlists and very long shows.

Shaz 11-21-2013 01:43 PM

Captain Walrus 11-22-2013 11:46 PM

Nine Inch Nails at the O2 in May :p

bonjovi821 11-24-2013 02:30 AM

Black Sabbath in Los Angeles, their final North American show of their career.

DevilsSon 11-25-2013 12:30 PM

Buckcherry and Hardcore Superstar last Saturday. Best gig I have seen all year. Unbelievable. And I thought Iron Maiden were unbeatable....nope. This was the best gig. Hardcore Superstar should not be a support band ever. But then Buckcherry were incredible too. Their latest record is class. GO SEE THEM!

Am seeing the Scorpions in Bucharest on the 14th of December....really looking forward to that and before that Uli Jon Roth doing a solo gig on the 6th very excited. Very very exciting fall...

Nice man. I am seeing Buckcherry tomorrow night supporting Steel Panther. Cannot wait to see them, I had tickets to see them about 14-15 years ago and then they cancelled the gig on the day of the performance. Have wanted to see them live ever since. And I get to see the mighty Hardcore Superstar in March at the Soundwave Festival. Brilliant band, can't wait to see them live.

How did you find Buckcherry? I loved their gig...

Uli Jon Roth was AMAZING. Hung out with him after the gig and he was the most humble and down to earth guy in the world. Unfortunately, I was smashed beyond believe so I must have annoyed him. Was there with Tom actually (letitrock) and he started telling him childhood stories and shit and Uli recognised him. In this time I was having a very intense conversation with a curly lady...turns out she was the girlfriend of the drummer of the support band. Good night out :D

ZE SCORPIONZ on Saturday. Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes!

They were awesome dude. Scored one of Keith Nelson's picks as well. I am hoping they come back at some stage for a full tour as I reckon they only played for about 30-40 minutes.

That's awesome! I only went for Hardcore Superstar but they totally kicked my ass. It was sort of a double-headliner gig. I think Buckcherry played 90 minutes and HS - maybe just over 1h. Their latest albums kicks ass as well. Gluttony has to be one of the best songs I've heard all year :D

****in' Scorpions last Saturday in Bucharest. My GOD - they are the best live band in the world. I don't understand how they can still rock as hard as they do.....and Rudolf Schenker is like a half god or something.

Some pics from a local radio station:

Booked once again for the KISS cruise in October, but hopefully it wont be long before they hit the UK.

Becky 01-31-2014 01:06 AM

Going to see Keith Urban tomorrow night in Knoxville and Saturday night in Nashville. I hope the polar vortex will have mercy on us so we can travel safely.

bonjovi821 02-04-2014 05:54 PM

Now THAT makes me jealous. I have been a fan since the late 60s.

Just bought tickets to see Davy Knowles at The Iridium Room in NYC. This guy rocks - saw him open for Chickenfoot a few years ago and then saw him at The Iridium Room recently. He is an incredible guitarist who can also sing the blues.

Yeah me too so this is def. a dream come true. Was sure I wasn't gonna get any tix without paying through the nose but luckily they released more tickets. Taking my god son with me, as he's a big fan too and we'll celebrate his birthday while we're there.

ooh will have to check that guy out for sure.

TheOriginalJez 02-09-2014 03:20 PM

Saw Airborne in Nottingham a few months ago. If they weren't so desperate to be AC/DC they'd be awesome, as it is they're just good.

brighton84 02-10-2014 10:06 PM

Saw the Treatment last night in Manchester, for a bunch of kids they sure can rock....Awesome.!!

Supported by Cage the Gods who were also very good.....A great evenings rock for £9.50....The Treatment actually hung round after to sign copies of their new album.
Remember when rock bands used to do that before those blasted meet n greets....

Saw a Cage the God's track on YT last week, looks like it could be a decent cd when it's out.

This year's gonna be very full of live shows for me :D

I've already seen Polish band called Vincent, then Civil War (band formed by ex-Sabaton members and Nils Patrik Johansson from Astral Doors) and Deep Purple :)

I got tickets to few other shows - Steel Panther, Alice Cooper + Orianthi @Rock Meets Classic, Robbie Williams, Reckless Love and AEROSMITH :D

And I'm planning to see also Kee Marcello, The Rolling Stones, Gotthard and Masters Of Rock festival (with Sebastian Bach, Sabaton, Civil War and others in the line-up). Europe and Eric Clapton, maybe, too :) and Orianthi's solo show if it's gonna happen this year somewhere in Europe ;)

brighton84 03-02-2014 01:51 AM

Birthday surprise for the wife, took her to see Micky Bubbles tonight in Manchester.Actually enjoyed the gig,guy can sing, good band to back him up and a decent stage show to boot.

Is it a crime to say I enjoyed it more than seeing Judas Priest??:D

asok80 03-06-2014 03:19 PM

Just got tickets to An evening w Elvis Costello here in Gothenburg in September. :-)

Fredrik 03-06-2014 06:19 PM

I went to see Europe last night in my hometown and they blew me completely out of the water. They're in their late 40's / early 50's but man do they put on one hell of a show! I wish BJ would show just a hint of such energy in their shows. It's obvious that Europe as a band are still hungry and striving to show what they're made of and not relying on previous merits. That also reflects in their more recent albums since 2004, especially Bag Of Bones (2012), which display both a maturity and edge. Awesome, to summarize!
